The group would grow slowly, although it had already gained the endorsement of The Smiles Family early on, even having a dedicated rank.https://web.archive.org/web/20200119103331/https://www.roblox.com/groups/5487953/Palace-of-Myths#!/about On June 7th, Spereus would post a tweet on their Twitter, announcing that eilto had transferred ownership of the group to him.https://x.com/waryodung/status/1269732135130275841 By the time July came, the group already had three thousand members.https://x.com/waryodung/status/1287442857029181440 During this time, kingcorky would also join this group, eventually becoming one of the most active users in the group, even becoming a Council member in October. By December, they had reached more than four thousand members, although they were quite inactive as a group by then. By October 11th, 2021, Spereus would give back the ownership of POM to eilto, and would retire about a month later. This was followed by a small bit of activity as the group attempted to organize itself, although the group would still be largely inactive during this time. Despite this inactivity, the group did seemingly continue to grow, having more than seven thousand members in January 2022, and nearly eight thousand by April. By March, the group was also rebranded to Paradox of Myths. Near the end of 2022, myth hunter 5alks, previously known as Autsuko, became co-owner of POM. With this, the group would grow both in activity and membership, with the group hitting ten thousand members on February 6th.https://www.rolimons.com/group/5487953 Alongside this, the group would also become closely affiliated with [[Collaboration!]] and [[Cult Family Rebirth]], with those being the group's first investigations in this modern era. On May 21st, 2023, the group reached 11k members. On June 21st, 2023, the "[https://www.roblox.com/communities/32592641/Paradox-of-Myths-Discovery-Unit#!/about Paradox of Myths Discovery Unit]" was created.https://groups.roblox.com/v2/groups?groupIds=32592641 In July of 2023, the user [[moocowmemilk]] would be promoted in this group to the "Overseer" rank in the group. He would go on to become one of the most active parts of the group. On August 14th, 2023, 5alware left the Paradox of Myths group and the Discovery Unit, announcing his retirement soon after.{{Citation Needed}} After this, the group would mostly be managed by the new community manager, moocowmemilk. moocowmemilk would be the main user who kept up activity in the group, revamping the entire DIscord server and being a consistent force in the community. Eventually, on June 10th, 2024, it would be announced by moocowmemilk that he would become the new owner of the group, alongside eilto.{{Citation Needed}} Only a day later, it was alleged by moocowmemilk that eilto lied to him about this promotion. This led to moocow and many others leaving the group, preforming a small protest against the group.{{Citation Needed}} Soon after, 0verdesire, the owner of the myth hunting group "Myth Investigation Service", would be promoted to Overseer, and later owner of the group on the 29th of June, 2024.https://x.com/ArchivedAcc938/status/1806893512463393059 After this, 0verdesire would run the group actively, republishing the Paradox Lounge which had formerly been taken down by Roblox, and adding new moderators for the group. This would change however on the 20th of June, when the ownership of the group suddenly was transferred to user "hyperphysical", better known as the former myth "TheThinkingRoom". It was quickly revealed that hyperphysical had doxxed and threatened 0verdesire, stating that him and his girlfriend would be put on a "human trafficking forum" if he did not hand over the group and the discord server.[https://x.com/OneWhoFinds/status/1839495758883488098/photo/2 https://x.com/OneWhoFinds/status/1839495758883488098] The intentions behind this were likely fueled by the fact that 5al, the former owner of POM, is quite a controversial user due to his behavior during the years between 2020-2022. Upon gaining ownership of the group, all the former staff of the group would be banned, and every rank would be cleared out. A majority of groups which were formerly allied with Paradox of Myths would soon rescind their allyship, due to the reputation of hyperphysical, and the situation surrounding his ascension to owner. Many new users would be promoted under his leadership, including the user "000XTR", better known as damaxia, known for previously co-owning the group [[The Unknown Myths Of Roblox]]. On the 25th of August, 2024, damaxia, Mispolyance and HappleTree would completely vandalize the Paradox of Myths Discord server, as well as their Roblox group. This included deletion of every channel, and the removal of over eight thousand members from the Roblox group.https://web.archive.org/web/20240827104433/https://twitter.com/ParadoxOfMyths/status/1828383092723327338 Soon after this, hyper would private the Roblox group, and then in December 2024, the group would be locked by Roblox, resulting in the end of the Paradox of Myths group.https://x.com/TheMDC/status/1866451670307336301 Prior to this, on the 23rd of August, the founder of Paradox Of Myths "eilto", would use the POM Twitter account to advertise his successor to POM, known as "[https://www.roblox.com/groups/34796853/Classified-Entity-Archives#!/about Classified Entity Archives]".https://web.archive.org/web/20240822221258/https://twitter.com/ParadoxOfMyths/status/1826744398694203645 As of May 2026, this group has over one thousand members, although it is quite inactive. ==Ranks (2024)== |-|Myth Hunter= ===Myth Hunter Ranks=== {| class="rank-table" !''Ranks'' !''Description'' !''Rating'' |- |''● Upcoming Hunters ●'' | The rank one gets upon joining the group. | rowspan="2" |''Low Rank'' |- |''● Hunters ●'' |The rank awarded if one is active within the group. They have been the owner of the group throughout most of the group's history, up until July 2024 when they were demoted and removed as apart of hyperphysical's promotion. Despite being relatively active during the beginning of the group, they became less and less active and is practically retired from the myth community as of now. ===[https://www.roblox.com/users/106789544/profile Spereus]=== Spereus is the second owner and co-founder of Paradox of Myths. They owned the group through much of the first year of Paradox of Myths' existence, helping set the foundation for the group, and creating the original Paradox of Myths Discord server. Eventually, in October 2021 ownership was transferred back to eilto, and Spereus would retire not long after. ===[https://www.roblox.com/users/3852456867/profile 5alware]=== 5alware is the third owner of Paradox of Myths. He owned the group alongside eilto, and helped the group grow a lot from late 2022 to late 2023. 5alware helped the group grow by establishing connections between the group and other popular myth groups, such as [[Collaboration!]] and [[Cult Family Rebirth]], as well as growing the group through other means. Eventually, he would retire from the group in late 2023. === [https://www.roblox.com/users/1572780237/profile 0verdesire] === 0verdesire was the fourth owner of the group, owning the group alongside eilto from June to July 2024. During their time in the group, they implemented new investigations, republishing the Paradox Lounge, and adding new features in attempts to make the group more active. Eventually, on the 20th of July, 2024, they would lose ownership of the group, and it would be transferred to hyperphysical. === [https://www.roblox.com/users/3789293316/profile hyperphysical] === hyperphysical, better known as TheThinkingRoom, is the fourth and current owner of Paradox of Myths. While the series events leading up to his ownership are disputed, it was originally stated by 0verdesire that he was doxxed and blackmailed by hyperphysical and IkTrains to get the group, but later on changed his story, stating that he was blackmailed by the group "Creative Alliance" and told to give the group to hyperphysical in order to frame him. Many believe that this second story was tweeted out by request of hyperphysical, due to how 0verdesire would further address the situation, and due to the strange nature of this second story. ==Related Groups== ===[https://www.roblox.com/groups/32592641/Paradox-of-Myths-Discovery-Unit#!/about Paradox of Myths Discovery Unit]=== {{TBA}} ===[https://www.roblox.com/groups/33777903/Paradox-of-Myths-Investigation-Unit#!/about Paradox of Myths Investigation Unit]=== {{TBA}} ===[https://www.roblox.com/communities/33777908/Paradox-of-Myths-Journalism-Unit Paradox of Myths Journalism Unit]=== {{TBA}} ===[https://www.roblox.com/groups/33777913/Paradox-of-Myths-Archivist-Unit#!/about Paradox of Myths Archivist Unit]=== {{TBA}} ==Game(s)== ===[https://www.roblox.com/games/12017281917/Paradox-Lounge Paradox Lounge] (unavailable)=== "Paradox Lounge" is a hangout game filled with many references to the myth community, especially the early years of the community.
