'''CIarinita''' is a small myth based on Filipino folklore. She is a former villager of the island of Siquijor, where she partook in a ritual that may have led her to become possessed.
== Biography ==
CIarinita was born on the Filipino island of Siquijor in the 18th century. Her village in Siquijor was known for practicing witchcraft, and she had a sister by the name of MarceIIita. CIarinita participated in one night-time ritual that resulted in her becoming possessed. The possession seemed to only last as long as the ritual did, but little did people suspect that there were lingering consequences for this activity.
Sometime later, CIarinita moved away from Siquijor. She was found by a Christian priest who realized that she was tainted with witchcraft. The priest attempted to exorcise her to no avail in the church. CIarinita did not seem to be aware of the times she was becoming possessed.
Afterwards, CIarinita moved to Intramuros, a community that would become a part of modern-day Manila. In Intramuros, there were reports of children going missing, and CIarinita had a reputation for being a witch - even though she was currently not practicing witchcraft. The citizens of Intramuros suspected that CIarinita whisked the children away for a ritual, and they attempted to hunt down CIarinita.
It seemed that CIarinita was able to escape Intramuros and settled down in Batanes, a Filipino island province. There, she reunited with her sister MarceIIita. The both of them lived in Batanes and did not appear to be bothered by the locals.
== History ==
CIarinita joined Roblox on June 22, 2019 and was primarily active throughout 2020. She created three iterations of her main game "Batanes". The first iteration covers her main story, starting from her time in Batanes and examining her life in reverse chronological order. The second iteration of "Batanes" covers Batanes in 1949, but it is unclear whether CIarinita was present in Batanes (which would be unusual, considering CIarinita was born in the 18th century) or why this game was created. The third iteration of "Batanes" is the "rainy day" variation of her first game; this third version appears to have been made as a hangout for friends.
"PARAISO" is another game of CIarinita's which is only listed under her Favourites. It appears to be unfinished, as an exploration of the game reveals a statue of a cross with a white door behind it.
There are a few accounts which are curiously related to CIarinita, but their purposes are unknown. CIarinito, a user with a boy avatar, joined Roblox on June 27, 2019. MarceIIita joined Roblox on May 4, 2020, predating the time when CIarinita joined. However, MarceIIita does not appear to host any games of interest.
CIarinita appeared to be active primarily throughout 2019 and 2020; her current activities are unknown.
Sometime, CIarinita joined CORE (Corporation Of Rehabilitation Experts), where she is recognized as a Forthcoming Myth.
== Appearance ==
CIarinita's avatar wears the Woman Head and Roblox Girl Torso. She has a light complexion and has a freckled smile alongside the Long Brown Hair accessory. She wears a light yellow sweater and denim jeans.
== Personality and Traits ==
Although CIarinita has rarely been met, there are some clues to her personality. She appears to be kind and introverted, refraining from the use of harsh language. She is shown as fearful when the citizens of Intramuros hunt her down, but she also appears to be oblivious to the impacts of her participation in the Siquijor ritual. In discussion with some myth hunters, she has been polite but also apprehensive. She appears to have a knowledge of traditional Filipino folklore, mythology, and indigenous mysticism.
=== Abilities ===
* '''Possession''' - CIarinita seems to be possessed by some sort of entity which occasionally overtakes her and causes her to float. Perhaps the entity uses her body as some sort of vessel, but the entity becomes enraged and more "visible" when it is confronted by someone with a cross.
== Games ==
=== [https://www.roblox.com/games/4913908434/Batanes Batanes (Iteration 1)] ===
This is the version of Batanes which contains CIarinita's main story. It depicts CIarinita's small community in Batanes and has multiple NPCs discussing aspects of Filipino folklore. Notably, two people discuss how saying "TABI TABI PO" is meant to ward away evil spirits in Filipino indigenous traditions.
A sequence of places follow from this starter place. To access the next game, "Intramuros", a person must jump off of the docking area on the first part of the map. The water has a teleporter to "Intramuros".
"Intramuros" depicts 18th-century Intramuros, in which Manila's citizens are attempting to catch CIarinita on suspicions of her being a witch. To find the teleporter for the next game, follow the edge of the nearby water until a person comes across CIarinita hiding behind a building. In the water, a person should see a row of disembodied spectres floating. Behind these spectres, there is a neon-white door which teleports a person to a game with a church.
In the church game, a priest with a cross is shown to oppose CIarinita, who has sprouted wings and is floating in the middle of the game. To access the next game, "Siquijor", click on the wooden cross and then go towards the piece of paper in the corner. The paper should be the teleporter.
"Siquijor" shows the village where CIarinita once lived. The inhabitants discuss a moonlight ritual that is to be performed later that night, and it is evident that this iteration of Siquijor was preceding the time when CIarinita lived in Intramuros. Walk behind one of the mountain-like structures to find a neon-white door which teleports a person to the final game, "Traditional Night".
"Traditional Night" shows the night-time version of Siquijor. After crossing the village bridge and entering the walled area, a person should find CIarinita participating in the ritual which led to her initial possession.

The second iteration of Batanes occurs in 1949. The location does not appear to be the place where CIarinita's house is located since the area is completely different from the map in Batanes's first iteration. Unlike the first iteration of Batanes, the purpose of this game is unclear.
=== [https://www.roblox.com/games/5124268713/Batanes-Rainy-Day Batanes (Rainy Day)] ===
The "rainy day" variation of Batanes is the same map as Batanes (iteration 1), but in rainy weather. Its description implies that the "rainy day" version was meant to be a hangout.
=== '''[https://www.roblox.com/games/5128466935/PARAISO PARAISO]''' ===
This game shows CIarinita praying in front of a statue of the Christian cross. In Tagalog, CIarinita asks for forgiveness and claims to have done nothing wrong. There appears to be a neon-white door behind the statue, but touching it does not teleport the player anywhere.
== Relationships ==
=== [https://www.roblox.com/users/1545231663/profile MarceIIita] ===
Marcellita is CIarinita's sister. They are presumably both from Siquijor and were separated for some time before becoming reunited at Batanes. Although they evidently may have a close relationship, such relationship seems to have its struggles. MarceIIita seems to criticize CIarinita for being strict and laments how "love has separated" them from each other, but interestingly enough, this strictness has not been shown in CIarinita's behaviour.
== Theories ==
* '''CIarinita was too young for her to remember when she partook in the island ritual.'''
** CIarinita speaks of the ritual in "Siquijor" without any fear. She is clearly oblivious to the long-term effects of being the participant in this activity.
** In "Intramuros", CIarinita claims to be unaware of why the villagers believe that she is some sort of malevolent force. Perhaps it is the case that whenever she gets possessed, she becomes unaware of what her body is doing.
** CIarinita could have been asked by one of the villagers to participate in the ritual, knowing that CIarinita could have been too naive to understand the impacts of her body fighting for control against the otherworldly entity.
* '''The possession has allowed CIarinita to live abnormally long.'''
** The second iteration of Batanes takes place in 1949.
** CIarinita was born in the 18th century.
** If CIarinita is related to the paranormal activities in 1949-era Batanes, then there would be something unusual about Ciarinita which allowed her to live that long. Perhaps it would be related to the ritual at Siquijor.
== Trivia ==
* "Tabi Tabi Po" is a saying in Filipino superstition. It was not invented by CIarinita.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstition_in_the_Philippines]
* The presence of Christian priests in the Philippines was not unusual during the time, nor was it necessarily unusual for Christian crosses to be present in the Siquijor ritual. The Spanish conquest of the Philippines led to a large conversion of Filipino residents to Christianity. Sometimes, the indigenous practices and folklore of the Philippines were intertwined with symbols of Christianity, such as the cross.
