However, it is clear that she grew up in a problematic, deeply religious Catholic family that had some economic difficulties. She had some brothers and a father growing up, although a more central character to Scooplyte's trauma is her abusive, religion-insistent mother. It is not clear when Scooplyte started having questions about whether her gender at birth (male) was the gender she wished to identify herself as, but the questions eventually came. With these questions, there came religious guilt and a fascination with art. Religious guilt set in since Scooplyte had to question Catholic beliefs on transgenderism which she was taught for much of her life. Furthermore, there were social pressures (particularly from her mother) to conform and refrain from embracing a gender outside of Scooplyte's gender-at-birth. Scooplyte's fascination with art seemed to manifest as a consequence of her desire to be recognized as a female. There are multiple instances in her memories where she gazes upon a famous work of art (typically of the Western artistic tradition) and wishes that she could be like the women depicted in the art. It becomes a form of escapism for her. Eventually, Scooplyte decides to self-identify as female. While her religious guilt and trauma (from abusive family members) remain, she musters enough conviction to imply that she no longer beliefs that religion is true. Only seeing it as a way of escapism - a way to cope with the struggles of life - she decides against the religious beliefs of her family and grows distant from her mother especially. At one point, she leaves her mother to live on her own in an apartment; she may have gone to another city since she embarked on a train by herself after saying her farewells to the mother. ==History== Scooplyte joined Roblox on 4/5/2022 and spent some time in development before her game was released, primarily through the outlet of RMH's Myth Development group. She rose the ranks to a Qualified Myth throughout 2022, known for her story's combined focus on religion, trauma, and the arts. There were roughly two iterations of her game The Memory in a Veil. In the first iteration, the game began in a sequence of rooms with paintings and puzzles to solve. In the second iteration, the game began inside what appears to be a fragmented memory within Scooplyte's mind. In both iterations, the themes and story of Scooplyte have remained roughly consistent. Sometime in summer 2022, Scooplyte became associated with the small myth HyksosIgnosi. Hyksos was another RMD myth. The stories of the myths do not seem to overlap, save for teleporters to each other's games. However, there are recurring themes in both myths such as the nature of art, religion, and the persistent role of trauma in one's life. Scooplyte was an early-round nominee in RMD's 2022 Myth Awards and a finalist/nominee in the 2022 Myth Community Wiki Awards, likely on the basis of her game's clean building and storytelling. ==Appearance== Although Scooplyte's outfit varies, she commonly wears the [https://www.roblox.com/catalog/8821393761/black-messy-hair black messy hair] and the [https://www.roblox.com/catalog/48474356/ROBLOX-Girl-Torso ROBLOX Girl Torso]. She views both art and religion as forms of escapism, but her relationship with them is more complex than that. With respect to art, she seems to view it at something to be admired and pined after, as if she sees someone that she wants to be within the artwork that she views. With respect to religion, Scooplyte might be viewed as a skeptic who is struggling to move on from religion as it was implanted within her childhood. She feels religious guilt and struggles to reconcile her gender identity with the Christian faith and her religious family. ==Game== ===[https://www.roblox.com/games/9290297187/The-Memory-in-a-Veil The Memory in a Veil]=== {{TBA}} ==Theories== {{TBA}} ==Trivia== *There used to be a sign in Scooplyte's room of papers which read "No floor, more lore". It may have been a joke about how myths can develop so much lore that their floorboards are covered in "papers" of lore, or it may have been a jest at the fact that many myths like to hide lore in places like holes in the floor. *An inside joke among some myth hunters is Scooplyte's "clock cipher", a difficult-to-crack cipher introduced in the first iteration of The Memory in a Veil. The clock cipher is jokingly referred to as something which would take the energy out of any myth hunter, and incidentally, there was barely anyone known to decode it to date. *Scooplyte was a nominee for RMD's 2022 Awards (as someone before the final ballot was assembled) and the 2022 MCW Awards (as a final nominee). ==Gallery== {{TBA}} ==References== [https://www.roblox.com/users/3447432506/profile/ Scooplyte's Profile] [[2022 Myth Community Wiki Awards]] == Further Reading == [https://news.stlpublicradio.org/arts/2014-06-06/portrayal-of-women-in-the-visual-arts-throughout-the-ages An NPR radio segment on how women were historically portrayed in visual arts] [[Category:Myths]] [[Category:Outspoken Era Myths]] [[Category:Recognized Myths]]
