Restored.— Olgatoqe

Olgatoqe is a small myth who is known for their game "Calming Breeze" and for their association with the stud myth group "INTERMEDIATE", the trendsetter for 2021's revival in the Stud and Trigger genre. It's a very generic and linear trigger myth, but still a classic of the modern age of the community.

Biography

Due to the game being incomplete, Olgatoqe's entire story can not be uncovered; however, the game's many hints (the black bars of text) still allow the hunter to piece together what's left of the story.

Once upon a time, small beautiful islands were created in the middle of the sea, filled with apple trees, marvelous flowers, and mystical structures. On them was a young man of unknown origin gazing at the scenery, searching for anything that could satisfy his painful hunger.

Along with him lived another person residing in the "tower of wisdom." One of these individuals would explore the islands, though not due to hunger, for he was full. Eventually, he'd find "something unexpected:" a grave, a fountain with a statue depicting somebody else, and a feather, which he decided to toss down a well out of curiosity, leading to an unknown miracle to happen.

Plenty of details are missing, so speculation is required to fully solve what's left of this myth. However, due to the wording of the hints being pretty vague and ambiguous, it's tough to construct a basic understanding of the plot.

History

Since the very beginning of the account's creation on April 1st of 2021, Olgatoqe was a member of the small myth group "INTERMEDIATE". His game would be under development throughout early April and would soon be released, increasing the number of islands until the 20th of April when development for Tolglot would begin. Ideas of extending the game were brought up here and there, but no progress would be made after May.[citation needed]

To bring more attention to the myth, Olgatoqe, along with the other members, would join other games in the myth community such as "The Double R' Bar" and "The Mythsman Diner", sitting around quietly and watching the people in the server until somebody notices them.[citation needed] Then, on May 15th, an official Discord server would be created for the group, along with individual accounts for each of the members, including Olgatoqe; however, Olga's account would soon be deleted for unknown reasons.[citation needed]

Interest in INTERMEDIATE would peak around May and June of 2021, though Calming Breeze would not be the most recognized element of the group, overshadowed by Akihikua, Ovasilias, and Hweolgul. Olgatoqe and the rest of the members would, on occasion, including once on the 29th of May while hunters MeumNomen, heminabove, and Koraruu in the game "Hweolgul's Place", where an interrogation would be conducted and recorded by the former. The video of the conversation, despite being unlisted, would be shared around amongst people who were invested in the myth.

The account would zig-zag between activity and inactivity. In June of 2021, Olgatoqe and Tolglot unfriended the other INTERMEDIATE members and friended a new account called Tanvouldon. This action would not last long and Tanvouldon would soon become a solo myth. Then, sometime in July or August, the creator behind Olgatoqe would turn it into a showcase by adding the word "(SHOWCASE)" to the title.[citation needed] This decision would be reverted around October or November of 2021. Later on, in 2022, Olgatoqe's avatar would be given its new face and neck accessory and his bio would change to "Restored.", an earlier attempt to revive/archive the group.

To this day, Calming Breeze is still hunted and remembered fondly as one of the pioneers of modern stud myths, being shouted in RMH on occasion. There is no sign of the myth ever making a comeback, but its influence in the community still prevails.

Appearance

Olgatoqe's color scheme makes him look like he has green skin, a red shirt, and black pants. He wears the"O_o" face and the "Black Dogtags (1.0)" neck accessory. Before this, Olgatoqe did not have the "O_o" face.

Personality and Traits

Like many other myths, Olgatoqe's speech is rather bland, although he shows lots of emotion when talking about important things from his past. He's suffered extremely in the past, likely due to the starvation he was subjected to on the islands. He also owned a pet seagull, which one day flew away and was found by Tolglot, another member of the "INTERMEDIATE" group. This seagull can be seen in Tolglot's game as well.

Group(s)

INTERMEDIATE.

INTERMEDIATE was a small group of myths, containing Olgatoqe, Akihikua, Tolglot, Hweolgul, Arkranosis and Ovasilias as their leader. The group began around end of March/start of April in 2021, lasting only a few months until interest to continue developing it faded. The actual ROBLOX group was only created a month into the myth's lifetime and was extremely short-lived.

Game(s)

Calming Breeze

Calming Breeze is Olgatoqe's only game. It takes place on a series of islands and requires the player to find invisible parts (triggers) to make other islands appear.

The experience begins on a small island with a small lake in the center and three apple trees. On the top of the screen, a series of "hints" pop up giving exposition on the islands you're on. On the tree closest to the spawn there is a golden apple, which triggers the next island to appear when the player touches it[1]. On the next island are two more trees as well as various fauna. If the player climbs around the tree to the right, the next island will eventually spawn. This island consists of a smaller zigzag pattern in the beginning, which eventually leads to a larger island. On this island is a small stone statue with a strange symbol in the middle of it[2]. If the player clicks on the symbol the next island will spawn in.

The next island is a larger island, which at first seems to contain nothing, but has a secret wall which the player can enter[3]. In this smaller cave, the trigger for the next island exists. This next island requires the player to find two triggers to progress. The first can be found atop the tree farthest to the left, spawning a collection of shadowy stairs that seemingly lead to nothing. The second trigger can be found close to a well, right next to a long red piece[4]. This one will spawn a floating island in which the stairs lead to[5]. After climbing up towards this floating island, the next island will spawn. This one has a large tower of sorts, although it does not have any entrances. On one side of the temple is a large banner with an unknown symbol[6]. If the player climbs the tall pile of bricks close to the banner, a side path will appear.

This smaller side path has a grave at the top of it[7], and behind it is a small trigger which spawns a giant rocky island. Atop this island is a smaller fountain with a strange symbol in the water and an unknown figure, believed to be Olgatoqe, on top of the fountain. If the player walks along the side of the mountain closest to the main map, the next part of the main path will appear. This island begins with a bloody trail which eventually disappears, and has many torches scattered around the island[8]. If the player jumps to the tree closest to the taller part of the island, the next part of the path will trigger. This next path features a small piece of land surrounded by a halo of dirt and grass with a knife-like object in the middle of it[9]. If the player walks onto the object, the next islands will appear.

This next island is a quite a long island, and on the opposite side of it is an upside down question mark made out of 6 small dots[10]. If the player jumps onto the fourth dot and walks immediately to the right, the next island will appear and the player will also die. After returning to the long island, the next part of the path should be there. This island features two pillars and a few trees[11]. If the player jumps onto the first pillar and walks around a bit, an extension to the island will appear. This extension features seven smaller bushes[12], which if the player walks up to fifth one, a new island will appear. This next island features a tree atop it, with smaller pieces of land below it. If the player walks to the opposite side of the island from the bridge, the final island will appear.

This final island features a large temple[13], similar in style to temples found in Greece, with a statue of a man holding a cross standing in it. This is the final part of the game, meaning that the game is likely incomplete.

Theories

  • Olgatoqe is the starving man
    • Olgatoqe briefly mentioned in the interrogation that there he had gone through "suffering," although he never specified what it was. Taking that into consideration, Olgatoqe could very well be the protagonist that the player follows throughout the progression of the game.
  • The starving man is the tower of wisdom resident
    • We know from the line "Searching around, with a full stomach" that quite some time passed since the first series of hint texts, since the protagonist has eaten. The "full stomach" could refer to a different character, but it makes far more sense for the themes of hunger and stomachs to be tied to a single character rather than given out arbitrarily. Therefore, we can assume that, after his suffering, lived on the island.
      • If this is the case, then the identity of the statue on the fountain remains more of a mystery.
  • The fountain and the gravestone are a memorial
    • If Olgatoqe is not the person who lives in the tower, our next suspect would be the individual depicted in the fountain and, consequently, the person buried underneath the grave. The fountain island is completely separate from the main path of the game and is only accessible through the tower of wisdom, along with the gravestone. Therefore, it would make sense for these structures to be connected in some way, specifically as a memorial.
      • If this is the case, then there is no way Olgatoqe is the resident of the tower of wisdom due to the lines "The man, found a grave, And a fountain, of somebody else."
  • Olgatoqe, to deal with his hunger, resorted to cannibalism
    • The trigger on the fourth island is hidden inside an obscured cave inside it. This underground chamber is covered in a red substance, most likely blood. Considering the starving man is said to have become full two islands later, it's not a wild stretch to assume that he, somehow, encountered another person on the islands and ate them.
      • It's also possible that it could've been a stray animal, but considering its concealed nature it's safe to assume that this room is meant to represent something darker.
  • The miracle was the birth of Olgatoqe's pet seagull
    • Olgatoqe has confirmed in the interrogation that he had a pet seagull. The feather he found could have easily turned into his own seagull when thrown into the well, as it is a white feather and the sudden appearance of an animal would be a "miracle."
      • The fact that a seagull came out of a well could give some details about Olgatoqe's character since, typically, magic wells like this fulfill people's wishes. It could be that the seagull represents some form of freedom that Olgatoqe yearns for, as it did one escape his grasp to Tolglot's islands.

Trivia

  • Olgatoqe has the "Gold Crown of O's" head accessory.
  • Olgatoqe has an inaccessible game called "Olgatoqe's Outside".
    • His role in the myth would've been related to the mysterious tower building.
  • Olgatoqe is followed by MythArchiver, GoodMyths and Myth_Catalog.
  • The statue atop the fountain originally had a red torso, like Olgatoqe.
  • The "tower of wisdsom" was originally an asset for another myth called "Labelien" which was created by somebody unaffiliated with the INTERMEDIATE group.
    • According to sources, Olgatoqe's creator had asked out of the blue for this asset so he could use it for his own projects. Labelien's creator would fulfill his request.
