Limit Reach— open2358Open2358 is a small myth, best known for their connections to concinnity() and their game - "Board", which features a large chess board with possessed chess pieces that can kill you.
Biography
Due to the abstractness of the game and the cryptic nature of open2358 himself, any story is difficult to grasp confirmedly from the game. It is most likely that the story is largely connected to the actual concinnity() group as the main teleport in the game can be viewed as the large black X, symbolic of concinnity(). It is also evident that the myth has a correlation to time as seen by the clock on open2358's t-shirt and the clock that can be seen in the sky.
History
Open2358 made their account on December 23rd, 2021, with their game being made on the same day. On May 15th, 2022, open2358, was accepted into concinnity(). It underwent an owner change sometime around the 8th of May, 2022, a week before joining concinnity(). Eventually, the original owner was handed back the account on the 8th of July, 2022, exactly two months after the first owner change. The original owner then mostly reverted all of the progression made and began creating his own ideas for the game again.
Appearance
Open2358 wears only the "Roundy Head", and wears a T-Shirt created by them named "clock". They have a "Really Black" head, "Medium Stone Grey" legs, a "White" torso and "Light Stone Grey" arms.
Personality and Traits
Open2358 has joined their own game a few times before to meet hunters. They have never been observed to speak to another person before so it's difficult to accurately pinpoint any sort of personality for them. It can be assumed that they are a quiet person though.
Game
Board
Board is a large chess board with many black and white pawns and bishops strewn across the area. Some platforms are elevated slightly and some of the chess pieces are able to move and crush the player. The chess pieces only move how chess pieces should be able to move on a chess board and also have a cooldown, giving the player some leeway when attempting to pass through.
Upon spawning in, the player should note that they have spawned on a black square of a chessboard with colossal chess pieces all around. They may also clock the fallen, black pawn piece ahead in the distance. Walking over, it is possible to walk into the chess piece from where its bottom is. Inside, the player will find a black figure with the number "5" on its face saying that "You shouldn't be here."
Travelling backwards from spawn, the player will eventually notice another fallen chess piece on their right. Inside here is another figure, this time white. It has the number "4" written on its face and it also says that "You shouldn't be here."
Going back to spawn with resetting, the player should travel to the front, left corner of the map, making sure to avoid killer chess pieces along the way. Here, the player should be close to a black and a white pawn. The black pawn can be activated and, underneath where it once was, a white circle with a black X can be spotted. Quickly activating and touching the X will lead to a teleport to "open2358's Place Number: 9". This place is seemingly a carbon copy of the original place but with the screen turned upside down, a darker atmosphere and slower music. The figures are both still here and both say the same things still. The circle and the X are no longer present.
Group
concinnity()
Open2358 joined concinnity() on May 15th, 2022 and was placed in the "Moving" rank along with the other two newest members, Erjiina and Bumegar. His presence in the group appears to be meaningful but it is unknown what his functionality to the group is.
Theories
- The game is about the aging of individuals and their loss of a childhood
- The game "Miracle" by the unfriended MedullaOblongata2356 has what appears to be a scene of Christmas with a tree and presents.
- Chess is a well known game for all ages and can still be played by children. The deathly chess pieces may symbolise open2358's abandonment of his own childhood as it comes back to haunt him.
- The clock may symbolise open2358's aging and how time has flown.
Trivia
- The string of numbers at the end of open2358's name are seemingly random and have no meaning.
- Open2358 used to be connected to an account called "MedullaOblongata2356". He was however unfriended for unknown reasons.
- Before the original owner received the account back, open2358's progression was in a much different style.
