Game
The Jubokko Tree
TheJubokkoTree is a game created on January 11th, 2019. The game is a small myth game, utilizing invisible triggers blocks to progress. There game only consists of two triggers, and a sub game, although it does not feature much of note.
Upon joining, the player is standing on a large island with yellow grass. On the island, there are also two smaller trees and a large one. To progress, the player should walk behind this large tree, and touch the roots of the tree. This will spawn a second island. The player will need to do some very simple parkour to reach this island. On this island, a pedestal is found. Touching it will at first do nothing, as the player must touch a stone in the upper left area of this island. This will active a beam, emitting from the pedestal, which will teleport the player upon touch.
This next game, "Afterwards", takes place on a small sandy island, with a large destroyed tree. There are also two crosses in the ground, likely meant to be grave stones. There is seemingly nothing to discover in this game, and therefore this is the end of the "The Jubokko Tree".
Relationships
Two Fallen People
In the second game of "The Jubokko Tree", a person can find two crosses planted beside the destroyed Jubokko tree. These two crosses are certainly there to mark the deceased, and they are the only explicit reference to the presence of humans nearby the Jubokko tree. The identities of these two people are unknown, but it is likely that they fell victim to the Jubokko tree and its consumption of human blood. In a sense, the two deceased people were the Jubokko tree's prey.
Theories
- The myth itself is the tree seen in the game.
- The colors on the avatar have bark-like tones, similar to a tree’s.
- In the second game, the tree is deceased. This could explain the inactivity of the account as the tree is already dead.
- In the first game, the two saplings nearby the big Jubokko tree are representing the two victims who perished to the tree.
- The two saplings bear a similar appearance to the big Jubokko tree. So, these saplings could have been grown from the tree.
- Two people likely died to the big Jubokko tree.
- To survive, the Jubokko tree consumes human blood. So, after preying on the two human victims, the tree could have been able to grow two saplings. Each sapling would have represented the amount of growth that the tree could do after preying on one victim.
- The two saplings are destroyed in the second game, indicating that they were as much of a danger as the Jubokko tree was. This implies the the saplings were new Jubokko trees that extended from the roots of the big Jubokko tree.
- The destruction of the tree led to the death of the surrounding environment.
- The islands found in "The Jubukko Tree" and "Afterwards" are quite similar, but differ in terms of climate. This could stem from the fact that the tree was destroyed, leading to the degradation of the surrounding territory.
- The definition of a "Jubokko Tree" is a tree which grows in former battle fields, where soldiers have died. The destruction of the tree could theorized to have been man-made. The existence of human presence is evident in the region where the tree is, judging by the crosses found in "Afterwards".
- Alternatively, the change of climate could be due to climate change, as it is known that vast areas can transform from being lush grasslands to deserts due to naturally occurring changes in climate.
- The islands found in "The Jubukko Tree" and "Afterwards" are quite similar, but differ in terms of climate. This could stem from the fact that the tree was destroyed, leading to the degradation of the surrounding territory.
