Show yourselves in power, for I am Lucifer, who lives forever!— LuciferRises

LuciferRises is a myth known for their untitled game, which transports the player through a never-ending loop of randomly selected games until the player either leaves or fails to connect.

Biography

Little is known about who LuciferRises is or why their game exists. It is not known whether LuciferRises is a persona or an accurate reflection of their account owner, or both. LuciferRises has been subject to various myths and theories since their inception, frequently appearing in videos related to Roblox Myths or the "Dark Side of Roblox", though it has sometimes been debated whether or not this was their intention.

History

LuciferRises joined Roblox on September 13th, 2014.

Appearance

Their avatar since their account creation in 2014 has been a basic Roblox avatar with various shades of red and black across their body and a Sigil of Leviathan on their torso. This symbol is associated with Satanism and also serves as the alchemical symbol for sulfur or brimstone. LuciferRises has also used a more detailed avatar which added black devil horns, a black and red crown, large red wings, and a pride flag.

Game

unnamed

Their game, which has no name, is a game universe with numerous similar places contained within it. In the first section of the game, the player is forcibly sent to a randomly selected place, often without warning. Each of these places displays various Satanic symbols to the user and flashes ominous messages across the top of the screen while a slowed down, heavily reverbed segment of the song Dancing Mad plays as the background music. The most unusual of these places is the starter place, which uses the face of the famous author and poet Michael Rosen as its skybox. The game remained largely unchanged since its release in 2014 until the LuciferRises account became more active in late 2023.

The second section of the game begins when the player reaches a level with a structure resembling a castle or a church, as the player will no longer be randomly teleported to other places. From here, the player has the option to leave through one of several portals, each leading to a different area. Levels in this section are often maze-like and are larger than those in the first section.

Theories

  • Possible connection with Mugen666666666666666
    • LuciferRises previously had only one game in their favorites, created by terminated user Mugen666666666666666 which, like LuciferRises's game, is unnamed. This Mugen game is from the same year LuciferRises made their account. Nothing happened when the player joined this game, but upon leaving, it relied on glitches in Roblox to change several of the player's "Recently Played" places to frightening images. One such image was the game's icon, which is visually similar to the LuciferRises game icon. While LuciferRises's place does not seem to use glitches or exploits to do strange things to the players' accounts, it is possible that there is a relationship between the LuciferRises and Mugen games.

Relationships

LuciferRises is a member of six groups, their primary group being named DCLXVI, the Roman Numeral for 666. The DCLXVI group has six members with their own ranks, suggesting that LuciferRises has some relationship to the other members.

Trivia

  • LuciferRises's profile blurb is a modified excerpt from the Satanic Bible and is supposedly a spell used to summon demons from Hell. This excerpt is itself a modified version of The Thirty Æthyrs by the 16th century alchemist John Dee which claims to be a collection of spells used evoke and command various angels.
