Don't let the bed bugs bite.— Merverna
Merverna was a recognized myth about the Oden family, more specifically about Ana (Merverna) and her child Christopher who, as the firstborn son, is meant to become the new leader of the Family Business.

Biography

The Oden Family runs the family business. It was founded by Christopher "The Continuer" (not to be confused for Merverna's son) in the 1700s. According to Merverna, the Family Business manipulates people and aims to grow an army. The Family Business is passed from generation to generation after a firstborn son passes a test. Merverna had a son with her husband Harry, named Christopher. Harry used Merverna and after that. He trapped her in someplace, but she managed to escape. However, she lost many bits of her memory. Since Christopher was the only child, he was next in line and was put through the test like the others. After this point, something went wrong in the family although what that is, remains currently unknown.

History

Merverna joined Roblox on the 2nd of August, 2019. Her first game was called Sleep Tight and was created on the same day that she joined Roblox, followed by Mind Control on 6th of August, 2019. The third and most recent game is called Dream Haze, which was built on 15th of August, 2019. Merverna retired sometime in October but returned later in December. This was followed by yet another retirement in May and an unretirement in July. The myth has remained active, until mid-2020, when she retired again, this time permanently.

Former overseer for Roblox's Myths Intelligence Agency, Iateabanma, wrote an investigation document about Merverna on February 15th, 2020. However, this document simply contains some basic profile information and theories.

Appearance

Mernerva's current appearance consists of the "Gray & Black Dress" pants, the "Black Ponytail" hair, and the "ROBLOX Girl - Torso" package.

Personality and Traits

While Merverna was a myth, they usually didn’t talk or move a lot. Nevertheless, they sometimes help myth hunters in solving puzzles and other things.

Mind Control

"Mind Control" is a myth game created on August 6th, 2019. "Mind Control" is not intended to have as much information and importance as Dream Haze or Sleep Tight. The game presents many visual models representing the thoughts of Merverna when put to sleep by Harry. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Once the player spawns, they should walk over to the manipulation area and climb up the truss. They should make a right avoiding Manipulation and climb up more truss, jumping off onto the platform. The player should take a left and make the first right, jumping up another platform, and doing it one more time after. There will now be some required codes in the following order, “Quality, Quantity, Reality, Simulation, Manipulation, and Control."

The player then climbs onto an orange block and jumps into a ledge. Two teleports are available, the first being jumping down into an orange block, you will be teleported to Quality. The player must beat the obby, cross the invisible path, and beat another obby to reach the Quality Room; after this there is no way to progress.

The player rejoins the first game and goes back to the code area, and completes the codes. The player should go to the top left corner of the room, and climb some truss to find the next teleport, Reality. Here, there is a cage trapping shapes with a horde of rallying people surrounding it. There is a ledge with people hanging on besides the rally, jumping off the ledge will cause the map to change and for the shapes and people to switch places. This is the end of Reality.

Heading back to Simulation, the player climbs the truss and this time takes a left after the first left into the hallway. The player walks through the wall to find a teleporter for Simulation. The player can flick a switch on the wall to illuminate a certain block, and saying the number on the block will unlock the door.  If the player continues doing this, the codes are as follows, “19, 20, 5, 13." The player will now have to complete an obby. The numbers represent letters of the alphabet and would spell out, “Stem” unlocking the door at the top. There is now an open hallway, the final door on the left and the second door on the right are both unlocked. Both lead to the simulation room.

The player should now go into the simulation room up the truss for a final time. This time, the player should walk forward to the end of the hallway and walk through the wall, sliding down a slide into Quantity. The player should continuously walk forward and go down the slides until they reach the Quantity Room.

The player should head back to Mind Control for the fifth teleport. The player this time should walk to the Control room and walk into the top right corner, falling in. If they take the left path, they will reach an obby.  Completing the obby will take the player to Manipulation. Avoid touching the green on this new obby, and if they reach the door, they will fall down, and they will need to reach the white door to progress. The player will fall into the Manipulation Room completing the teleport.

For the final teleport, the player should go back to the control room and fall into the bottom right corner of the room, taking the right path this time and entering one of two mazes. It does not matter which maze is taken. Completing the mazes will lead the player to a pyramid. Touching the ball at the top of the pyramid will take the player to, Control, the final teleport. All the rooms are available for viewing here. Walking into the Blue portal will finally take them to Dream Haze, completing all the games.

Theories

  • The black figure in the game was haunting Merverna in a sense, and as a last resort, she wanted to face the figure head on, telling her husband to leave her be.
  • The story is about a child and her mother (Mervena) dealing with an abusive father, and the father might have done something that was enough for the mother to get her and the child to run away.
    • At the end of the game, it shows somebody saying "you need to escape, little one." in red text.
      • Although there is no clear indication of who said it, it was probably the shadow child.
    • The paper Henry was reading could have possibly been a divorce note between Merverna and him.
  • "Mind Control" shows what Ana’s been going through when put to sleep by Harry.
    • The game acts as a simulation expressing many different feelings that were being expressed during the time.
    • When in sleep the brain has trouble processing full pictures and results to using shapes and simpler things instead explaining the simple visual imagery in game.
