History
Mythsman was founded by BIueMirror on December 25, 2018.
After working for other myth groups, BIueMirror set out on his own. After about 1 month of planning, he created the group Mythsman: Myth Investigation Service on December 25 of 2018. The group started off differently. However, over time, Mythsman started to solidify and become better.
Throughout the years, Mythsman had established itself as one of the fastest growing myth groups in the community, coming in at about 1,000 members in almost six months. Mythsman experienced much growth independently, acquiring many handfuls of allies (both up-and-coming and practically famous) and attracting the attention of many well-known myths and myth hunters. By activity, a great reputation, and immense effort and dedication, the group managed to reach 20,000 members on April 15th of 2020. Three months later, on July 18th of the same year, Mythsman reached 30,000 members. Having skyrocketed due to increased word-of-mouth and a favorite of The Mythsman Diner from mrflimflam, the group reached 40,000 members on December 14th of 2020.
Mythsman had developed an overall positive reputation for its openness in its ways of communicating with its members and being welcoming to all. The group prides itself on its diverse pool of members, hence its motto "everyone has a place", and believes in helping smaller myths and popular myths alike on their journey in the community. Some have believed its community to be toxic at times, though the group had demonstrated great efforts to keep toxicity at bay via listening to its members and posting occasional surveys asking how it can improve.
All in all, Mythsman: Myth Investigation Service was ever-evolving, and had strived to continue being a guiding star to those looking for a new approach to the myth community.
As of 8/7/21, Mythsman has been shut down.
