A monumental sacrifice, For a megastructure I call home.— MonumentalArchitect's current description
Monuments was an upcoming myth group, known for their various small, abstract myths. The group was created in March 2022, and was lasted only a short time, prior to the group being disbanded sometime in 2023. Since the group was disbanded, many of the individual accounts have continued to grow, especially OneCromlech, who went on to create their own new myth based off of their earlier creation from the "Monuments" group.

Biography

Due to the disconnected and abstract nature of the Monument games, it seems that there is no clear story in the "Monuments" myth.

History

Monuments was created on March 13th, 2022.[1] On the same day as this, two screenshots of the game "Three Lighthouses" was posted in Robloxian Myth Huntes, showing the group was already in partial development.[2][3] Only three days later, the games "One Cromlech" and "Three Lighthouses" were found and hunted in Robloxian Myth Hunters.[4] Two days later, "Eight Portals", "Ten Silhouettes", "Five Huts" and "Two Totems" were also discovered and played in Robloxian Myth Hunters. During this second hunt, users like THEpeoplewhoSEES, Wolf_Silhouette, kingcorky and nicosela6 could be seen hunting these various games. During this time, only the first five games were intended to be released, although it is known that TenSilhouettes and EightPortals were also public, due to the fact that people managed to get badges from these games during this day.

At some point after this, possibly on March 19th, the game "Six Tombs" was released.[5] At some point after this, the game "Quiet Gallery" by was also released. The exact date of the release for "Quiet Gallery" is unknown, although it was first mentioned on June 11th, 2022.[6] After this, information regarding the Monuments myth is lacking, although it appears that the group began to splinter in 2023, when OneCromlech began updating their myth. At some point also, MonumentalArchitect would join the group "Myth Community Pride", where they were ranked in the "LGBTQ+ Myths" rank.[7]

At some point after this, MonumentalArchitect would leave this group, choosing instead to join other myth groups, such as Myth Community Wiki, RMH Myth Development and Robloxian Myth Hunters. They would also unfavorite all monument related games, apart from "Four Barriers". In March 2025, a user would ask OneCromlech why they left the Monuments group, to which the creator of MonumentalArchitect would respond:

things fell through and none of us had the time nor care to continue it, chromlech continued after the disbandment as an independent myth
This confirms the disbandment of Monuments as a group, although the individual accounts in the group continue to grow independently from the group.

Myth Affiliated Game(s)

"Quiet Gallery" is a myth game created on March 13th, 2022. This game takes place in an entirely white map, with certain colored, transparent structures scattered around the place. The aforementioned structures are references to different games from the Monuments myth. To solve the game, the player must traverse the maze-like structure, and click four objects in order to get a code. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Upon joining, the player will be standing in the middle of a white maze, with the text "Five hold the memory of a monument" found at the top of the screen. From here, the player can find four different transparent structures, with glowing cubes above them. In order, TwoMonoliths can be found in the top left of the map, then ThreeLighthouses in the bottom left, then FourBarriers in the top right, and FiveHuts near the bottom right. Clicking each cube will result in a letter appearing. Previously, this game contained a fifth structure, belonging to OneCromlech. Putting all of these letters together would result in the name "Emerson". Saying "Emerson" would then lead to the lighting changing, now alternating between all colors in the rainbow. A white portal would also appear, which the player can touch. Touching this door will lead to the player being kicked, with the kick message being a long string of cubes, with a single two.[25] Alongside this, for a split second, the player can see the message "He abruptly jolted out of his melancholy state of mind. Desperate to see his son once more." at the top of their screen.

Apart from this, there are also multiple NPCs in the game which the player can communicate with. Most of them having nothing to say, except one, who gives the player a link to a Carrd, although the link is missing most of it's URL. There are also floating cubes in the sky, and paintings strewn across the game.

Two Totems

"Two Totems" is a myth game created on March 14th, 2022. This game takes place on a serious of yellow-orange structures, floating in the sky above water. This game requires the player to find a series of small totems, which the player must use to solve two puzzles, then allowing the player to finish the game. This game is notable for having a title which does not match the owner's name, unlike every other Monument account. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Upon joining, the player will be standing on a structure, which is colored yellow or orange. There are also multiple water streams leading from the building, and orange trees. To the left of this island, there is a smaller structure, with a strange object. This object has four colors, being white, green, yellow and blue. If the player maneuvers themselves onto the top of this island, they can find a small, red totem. The top of this totem can be rotated if the player clicks on it. From here, the player can rotate the top of this totem, to match the colors seen on the far-off object.

From here, the player can traverse to the next island, for to the right of the initial one. In order to get here, the player must walk onto the unfinished bridge found on the side of the starting island. Though it may appear unfinished, if the player begins walking onto it, they will notice that parts appear beneath them. This island features a similar puzzle to the last, with the same type of totem mechanism, and with multi-colored object being seen on a distant island. Once the player has completed both of these puzzles, a new bridge will appear on the starting island. From here, the player will have to carefully navigating the same type of appearing bridge found between the first and second type of island. Once the player has reached the final island, all the player needs to do is click on the red monument, and then they will be rewarded with the game's badge.

Three Lighthouses

"Three Lighthouses" is a myth game created on March 13th, 2022. This game takes place on a series of islands, where the player must find and interact with three lighthouses. This appears to be the first Monument game created, setting the stage for the structure of the other games. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Upon joining, the player will find themselves on a large grass island. To their left is a small bridge, leading to a second island with a lighthouse. If the player travels to the right, they'll instead find either a lighthouse, or a third island with it's own lighthouse. In order to progress in this game, the player must find all of these lighthouses, and they must climb and click on the yellow light source. Once the player has done this, a bridge will appear, which will lead the player to a new, large island. This island is largely empty, apart from a small boat, which the player can sit in. With enough searching, the player will find a hidden cave in the bottom left of the island.

If the player walks through this cave, they will notice that green text will appear above them on the top of the island. This text spells out "travel far". If the player then jumps into the boat, and says "travel far", the boat will begin moving, to a fifth, final island. On this island is the red monument, which will award the player with a badge upon clicking.

Four Barriers

"Four Barriers" is a myth game created on March 13th, 2022. This game takes place on a large island, featuring four distinct areas. These areas must be unlocked using various methods, resulting in the discovery of this game's red monument. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Upon joining, the player will be standing in the middle of an intersection, with four gates being found at the end of all points of this intersection. Behind the player, a ladder can be found, which leads up to a small hill with a button. Moving onto the button will open one of the gates. Behind this gate is a small area, with some sort of a pedestal at the end of the path. On this pedestal are three parts, which can be clicked by the player. With a little more exploration, the player will find a strangely colored cloud, being colored purple, then cream, then purple again. Inputting these colors into the pedestal will open the next gate. This area consists of a series of wooden pathways, which the player must traverse until they reach a dark gray building. Inside this building is a pressure plate, which will open the third gate.

Behind the third gate is a similar area to the first, featuring a similar pedestal with three color options. In this area, the player will find a strangely colored tree, being a purpleish color at the bottom, and plum at the top. Inputting these colors into the pedestal will open the final gate. Behind this gate is the red monument, which will award the player with a badge upon clicking.

Five Huts

"Five Huts" is a myth game created on March 14th, 2022. This game takes place in an open field, with five huts, which the player must open using secret codes. These codes are gathered through various means of decoding, some being harder than others. This fact has led to FiveHuts being recognized as the hardest member of the Monuments, supposedly having taken a whole month to fully solve. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Upon joining, the player will be standing in an open field, with five huts, an unknown flag, and a greyed out monument submerged in the dirt. Entering the first hut, the player will be met with a small room, with a table with a blue piece of paper and a pencil behind it. There is also a miniature version of the red monument on the corner of the table. Above this table are four parts, each having it's own color. Saying the first letter of each color in one word, will open the next hut. In the next hut, the player will find five symbols. In order from left to right, these symbols translate to "hscka". If the player scrambles these letters, they will get the word "shack".

In the next hut, the player will find eight boxes. The first has black tape, the next five have white tape, and the last 2 have black tape. If the player views the tape as the ones and zeroes in a binary string, the player can decode these boxes to the symbol "|" In ASCII code system, the symbol "|" is tied to the number 124. From this, the player can gather that if they say "124" in the chat, they will open the next hut. In the next hut, the player will notice that when walking onto certain tiles, white dots will appear on the floor. Once the player has found all the tiles, the player can exit the house, to which they'll find the text "rest" on the ground. Saying this will open the final hut. In this hut, the player can find a nearly perfect copy of the first hut's interior, although the parts are all purple now, and the small monument is now placed in the middle of the blue paper. Touching this monument will give the player the gear "Toy".

If the player then uses the "Toy" gear on the gray monument, it will activate, allowing the player to get the game's badge.
