Hello.— Quote from NathanialsDreaming's PlaceNathanialsDreaming is a popular myth best known for their game "NathanialsDreaming's Place" and for their affiliation with Littlenathanial. They created their account in May 2016, and began development within the same month, finishing development in August 2016. Their game consists of a series of islands with various triggers and teleports.
Biography
Due to the abstract nature of NathanialsDreaming's game, it is very hard to create a coherent story from it. It is strongly believed that the game is supposed to various dreams which Nathanial has, which explains the surrealistic nature of most of the games. It is also possible that some of these dreams show feelings which Nathanial feels, such as a feeling of isolation and suicidal thoughts.
History
NathanialsDreaming joined Roblox on the 31st of May, 2016. Unlike other Nathanial accounts, it appears development on their game began soon after the creation of their account, as the first subgame for NathanialsDreaming's Place was created on the 31st of May. After this, a game was created in June and July, with the rest of the main subgames having been created throughout August, 2016.
Apart from this, little is known about the history of NathanialsDreaming. A few significant updates are known about, such as a number of soundtracks being switched sometime in October 2018 for a few of the subgames, and a clock being added to the main game on December 9th, 2019. This was done in order to tease the next Littlenathanial game, "The book of the journey".
In April 2022, in response to the audio privatization update, fourteen audios were also uploaded to the account, with these being reuploads of the various soundtracks in NathanialsDreaming's games.
Appearance
The appearance of NathanialsDreaming is an exact copy of Littlenathanial's Roblox avatar, as are most of "Nathanial" accounts' avatars. His avatar consists of "Dusty rose" colored arms and legs, with a "Medium red" colored torso and head. Alongside this, he also wears the "A normal tie" t-shirt accessory.
Personality and Traits
Due to never having been seen ingame, it is unknown how NathanialsDreaming acts. It is known that if Littlenathanial joins their game, the entire game will be covered in a layer of deep fog, although Littlenathanial has only been known to join the game very briefly before leaving.
Games
NathanialsDreaming's Place
NathanialsDreaming’s Place mainly focuses on using invisible parts, more commonly known as triggers, that need to be touched in order for more islands and such to appear. Due to the way the game is laid out, the player also has an extremely high jump boost to compensate for the distance needed to jump to each cloud. There are also multiple teleports within the game, most islands having at least one if not two hidden teleports. These serve to send the player into a sub-game, showcasing one of Littlenathanial’s dreams. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.
Islands
This section will go through every island that you can find in the main game, detailing where the triggers are and such.
Upon spawning, the player will find themselves on an island with several trees, a small cave to the right, a small stream and three holes in the sides of the island along with one on the top. There is also a statue at the far end of the island which is an important symbol in the games of Littlenathanial, being shown to resemble Death in later games. The player should also be able to see a clock which is in front of the direction you spawn. This was added as a sort of teaser to Littlenathanial’s newest game, the book of the journey. This island is home to two triggers. The first is hidden in the hole in the side of the island that’s closest to spawn, behind the stream. Fall into here and walk to the end of the mini path, touching the wall at the end to activate a large island to the left of the spawn island. The second trigger is better when done later.
The player should jump their way over the clouds until they reach the next island they just activated. This island is larger than the starting island and also has more on it. It has the usual trees scattered around the island, another larger stream, a teleport and an odd monolith/plinth type structure on it. Jumping on top of the odd structure will activate another island at the opposite side of the map, to the right of the sparting island. This new island has a floating portal and is separated into two. There are two teleporters here but no triggers thus making it irrelevant for this part of the walkthrough.
Continuing with the island to the left of the starting island, the player will be able to see a certain tree on the left side of the island where the trunk and leaves are the same shade of green. In front of this tree is the stream mentioned earlier. Starting from the tree trunk, walk over to the stream. Before the player reaches it, they should fall through a part of the floor with no collision, leading to a mini underground area in the island with three separate rooms within. The one they land in has a walkway to the second room, a doorway leading into an empty room and a ladder to climb out of the underground area. On the ladder, instead of exiting the area, go to the side where there will be a walkway which leads to another doorway. The next room has a strange, white, transparent floor to it. There is a yellow glow to the right of the entrance to the room. Go over and walk along the wall there to trigger another island outside. This is a small island with a single white, transparent pillar-like structure. This is a teleport but there are no triggers on this island, thus making it irrelevant to this section.
Continuing with the island to the left of the starting island, there is one more trigger there. Going back to the tree with the same colours, jumping on top of it will spawn in another island which is in front of the starting island and near to the clock. This island will have another monolith / plinth type structure on it and is surrounded by floating, stone sticks of sorts.
The player should now make their way to the island surrounded with the floating, stone sticks which is directly in front of the starting island. On this island they’ll see the monolith-like structure. Walk in front of it and they’ll fall through the floor due to more non-collidable parts making up the floor. they’ll fall into another smaller, underground area which has what seems to be a mini beam of sorts protruding from a stand on the floor. Touch it and a new island will be activated. The new island is split in two with a bridge connecting the two islands together. This island has a teleporter on it but no triggers thus making it irrelevant to this section.
Back at the starting island, there should be another hole in the island, opposite the first hole and also hidden by the stream. It’s much easier to get in than the first hole. Jump into it and walk to the back of it, touching the back wall to activate the next island which is behind the player in the direction that they spawn.
Go over to the newest island. It has three mini waterfalls, plenty of trees again and another underground area with a teleporter in it. Get to the top of the island where all the trees are and the player should be able to see another tree where the trunk and leaves are the same colour, similar to the one in the first island you find. Jumping on top of this tree will activate another island on the opposite side of the map, slightly to the right of the starting island.
The player should go over to the island just activated. It’s a relatively tall island with a large hole in the side, revealing a large beam of light which is a teleporter. They’ll need to get to the top of the island. Jump onto the edge of the hole and then jump up again to the top to get there. You’ll be greeted by the usual trees and a small rocky hill. Go up the rocky hill and on the 3rd layer of it, walk around the small ledge. The player should activate a new island that’s to the left of the starting island and above the first island you activated.
Going to the newest activated island, they’ll see a big hole in the floor, leading to yet another underground area in the island. they’ll also see a separate island, connected with what seems to be tree roots, along with the usual array of trees. On the separate island, there is another tiny hill. Jumping on top of this hill will activate a new island which is in front of the starting island and the direction the player spawns in. This island is relatively small, only having a few trees and a small patch of stone on it. There are no triggers on this island though.
The last island can be activated by typing into the chat: “Littlenathanial”. This will make rather thick white fog appear, change the time of day so that it’s night and will also speed up the music in-game. It will also make a line of text appear at the top of the screen, simply saying “Hello” and will also make two new islands appear behind the starting island. They’re both quite small and don’t have anything other than a few trees. With this, the player should have every island activated.
Teleporters
This section will go through every sub-game you can get to in NathanialsDreaming’s Place. The majority of these places simply go under the name of NathanialsDreaming’s Place Number: (Number) so to shorten these down I will simply refer to them as “Place: (Number).
Place: 1
To get to Place: 1, the player needs to have the island with the white, pillar-like structure activated. Jump over to the island and touch the structure. they’ll be teleported to Place: 1 in a few seconds.
Place: 1 is a small invisible platform suspended in the air and covered in small, white, transparent parts. It’s night time but still bright enough to see everything. The player’s avatar is also completely white now along with everyone else who joins. There’s nothing else to this game. However, the parts are arranged specifically and on the outskirts of the platform, there is a single part. This may represent Nathanial and how he feels alone or different as he is separated from all of the other people.
Place: 2
To get to Place: 2, the player needs to have the island with the three waterfalls activated. Jump over to the island and they should see a small opening in the side of it. they can get into it by jumping from the clouds but it’s much easier to drop down from the top of the island. Once inside, they’ll be in an underground type area with a small underground lake and a walkway with a bridge leading into another part of the underground area. Either walk past the small lake or use the walkway to get to the other side of the area. Go up to the back wall and walk along the wall to the right. they will hit the teleporter and they’ll be teleported to Place: 2 in a few seconds.
Place: 2 is a small island sat in the middle of the sea. It’s made in similar fashion to the islands in NathanialsDreaming’s Place. It’s dark, rainy and stormy there. There’s a small cabin on the island and a pier on the island. Upon entering the cabin, the player will see what appears to be a table and some sort of long chair. In the next room, there is a single chair. However, sometimes when the player joins, Nathanial can be seen above the chair, hanging from the ceiling as he has hung himself.
Deeper
To get to Deeper, the player needs to have the island with the floating portal activated. Jump over to the island and go through the portal. they’ll be teleported to Deeper in a few seconds.
Deeper is an extremely small island connected to a slightly larger one with a narrow bridge. The only thing the player can see on the islands is the portal we just came through. At the end of the thin island there is a hole in the front of the island. It’s a difficult jump to manage but the player can enter with enough attempts. Walking to the back of the hole will activate a second part of the game which is a new small island.
On this new island, there’s a very tall and thin stone pillar along with a tiny archway followed by a small flight of stairs leading out onto a thin bridge with nothing at the end of it.
Place: 4
To get to Place: 4, the player needs the island with the large hole and beam of light activated. Jump over to the island and enter the hole. They’ll see the light before you even enter the hole. Touch the light and they should be teleported to Place: 4 in a few seconds.
Place: 4 is an overgrown cave of sorts. There is plenty of grass and vines around the floor and on the ceiling and walls along with a few small, transparent, white parts which give off a dim light. There is also a closed door in one of the walls and a gaping hole that leads straight to the void in the middle of the place. The two transparent parts nearest to the door can be clicked and will make a noise when clicked, one low pitched, one higher pitched.
After waiting roughly 7 minutes, a bell can be heard to clang and the door will open. It reveals a hallway to a room that has another symbol of Nathanial’s games, the Sad Statue.
Place: 5
To get to Place: 5, the player needs to have the two islands connected with a bridge activated. Jump over to the islands and get onto the bridge. Enter the hole on the right. In the island there is a short walkway to the other side of the island and two structures at the halfway point there. Go to the structure on the right and jump onto the ledge that protrudes from it. they’ll be teleported to Place: 5 in a few seconds
Place: 5 is a brightly lit cave full of water and crystals with possibly some snowy patches as well. To the left of the direction the player spawns in, there is a water source and a small snowy patch. Next to the snowy patch, the wall has no collision. Walking through the wall will lead to a very narrow passage and the song becoming louder and much faster. Walk through here to find an opening and a doorway. Go through the doorway onto the bridge. It will slow the player down. Walk to the end of the bridge to find yet another of Nathanial’s symbols that appear throughout his games, this time being the Book of the Journey.
Place: 6
To get to Place: 6, the player will need the island with the floating portal to be active. Jump over to the island. Instead of entering the portal, go to the side of the island on the right. They’ll see a mini stone room with a ledge protruding out of it. Go into there and touch the opening at the end. They’ll be teleported to Place: 6 in a few seconds.
Place: 6 is a small, snowy island that’s surrounded by clouds and has a small frozen lake. The trigger is behind the players spawning direction, at the very end of the island on the thin piece of rock. This will activate the next part of the island which houses a giant tree with a red patch on the front of it and three odd structures around the edges of the island. There is a hole to be found near the structure behind the giant tree. Go up to the structure and look back and down. The player should see a small hole in the side of the island. Fall into it and walk to the end. they will now have made the red patch on the tree non-collidable, thus meaning they can enter the tree. In the tree, there is a neon red part. Touch it to be teleported to Place: 9.
Place: 7
To get to Place: 7, the player will need the island with the small patch of stone, described in the first half of the walkthrough. Jump over to the island and touch the small patch of stone. they will teleport to Place: 7 in a few seconds.
Place: 7 is a big grey block with many small and large structures being housed on top of it. Most of the smaller structures look like spikes whilst the larger structures are large tall blocks with holes in the side of them. The side of the block the player is standing on has a row of holes in it. From their spawning location, directly to the right of them, there should be said row of holes. From where they are, fall into the third one across and begin to walk towards the other side. Once they are close, bars will block them from escaping either side. The sky will turn black but the sun will still be out.
Waiting roughly 10 minutes in the game will cause beams of light to appear and go through the holes of the larger structures and the music will become slightly louder. These beams can be touched and walked along.
Place: 8
To get to Place: 8, the player must have the second island activated with the strange monolith / plinth type structure. Jump over to the island and find the patch of floor that is non-collidable. Fall through and enter the doorway into the empty room on their left. They will teleport to Place: 8 in a few seconds.
Place: 8 is a small sandy island, similar to a desert. Upon spawning, the player will see a well, a small house and one of the symbolic objects seen through Nathanial’s games, the Book of the Journey. When you enter the house, you’ll see a paintbrush laying on the floor, spilt red paint next to it and a large paint splatter on the wall. It is the same shade of red as Nathanial is. Going back outside and looking through the top window of the house by zooming out, we can see another one of the symbolic objects, the Sad Statue again.
Place: 9
To get to Place: 9, you need to have activated the island with the floating portal. Jump over to the island and enter Place: 6. Do all of the steps to enter the tree and then touch the neon red brick. You should teleport to Place: 9 in a few seconds.
Place: 9 is a room with the main attraction being the huge floating cube in the middle and the effect the floor gives off which is slightly seizure inducing. Surrounding the outer edges of the room are dark pillars and cell-like structures with bars. Waiting roughly 2 minutes will trigger something. The cube will light up at the climax of the music and change colour to a slightly lighter grey.
Place: 10
To get to Place: 10, you must have the islands connected via tree roots activated. Jump over to the islands and go into the large hole on the surface. You will now be in an underground area. Walk to the part of the area furthest from the entrance. If you look closely, you’ll see a small brown part on the wall. Walk into that wall and you should teleport to Place: 10 in a few seconds.
Place: 10 is a large, semi-barren green plain. The only objects here are to the left of your spawning direction. There is a large tree surrounded by seven slabs of stone, a grey ring and 4 smaller grey blocks. One of the tree branches seems to go into one of the smaller blocks.
Waiting roughly 3 minutes will spawn in a larger surrounding of stony structures, all connected via fences. Most of these are possible to climb. Waiting roughly a further two minutes will spawn in another thing. If you look to the left back corner of the land, you will now see an isolated, stone house. It’s a simple, small, stone hut with no decor in it.
Theories
- This game and the various teleports are all representations of Littlenathanial’s dreams.
- The name itself would suggest that these are indeed dreams.
- The very surreal nature of the place suggests a dream-like state where anything is possible
- One of the games, Deeper, would suggest that he is in a deeper state of something. This fits with the theme of dreams and the idea of a deeper sleep.
- Nathanial is isolated and suicidal
- Shown in Place: 1 and Place: 10 where there is a house and a white, transparent part (representing Nathanial) that are both separated from everything else in the map.
- In Place: 2, Nathanial sometimes dreams of hanging himself.
Trivia
- The soundtrack in the main game is three piano audios played at the same time (one of them is Comptine D'Un Autre Été from the 2001 french film Amélie & composed by Yann Tiersen).
- If Littlenathanial joins the game, there will be a thick, white fog that can't be seen through properly. He will generally leave immediately afterwards.
- The game "Deeper" is the only sub-game with an actual name.
