Dolor. Timor. Miseriae.— StultusEst
StultusEst is a popular myth who is known for being the leader of "Atrium Miseriae". He created his account in 2015 under a different name but became his modern myth incarnation in 2020, first appearing as a part of GATHERING OF FOLLOWERS. His current story revolves around a kingdom based around cards, in which he is the protagonist.

Biography

StultusEst is card number zero of the Hall, known as "The Fool". In the tale of The Boy and The Book, around 1,500 years ago there was a young boy born into a poor family. As he grew up, he would run off to a hidden cave in the woods, looking for an escape from all the disease, crime and horror of the middle ages. He thought he was the only one who knew of his hiding spot. One day, however, he found a book inside. Upon opening the book, "words swam and twisted unnaturally and a symbol was burned into the boy's thoughts". A voice offered the boy a deal, and with this deal struck, he got revenge on the one who wronged him, and became a king until he died. Upon his death, he became a Card and was trapped in The Hall, where he is stuck in a purgatory state with the other cards.

History

StultusEst created his account on April 21st, 2015.

In a video uploaded by Flamingo titled “Roblox’s Disturbing Castle…”, StultusEst makes an appearance as a member of GATHERING OF FOLLOWERS. Allegedly, he was one of HeWhoShouldNotBNamed’s “Children.” At that time, StultusEst's soul was tied to The Castle myth before he moved on to create his own myth.

Appearance

StultusEst's avatar consists of the "Blue Royal Cape", "Midnight Jester Mask", "Great War Black Toque Head Scarf" and the "Medieval Knight Right Pauldron". Alongside this, he also wears the "A Promise Kept." shirt, and the "Bound." pants.

Stultus's avatar can be described as him wearing a half and half suit, being blue and gold diamond patterns on one side, and black on the other, with the same colors on the Midnight Jester mask he wears. He has a blue cape that extends down to his feet and underneath it is the symbol of chaos. On his right shoulder is an simple pauldron, while on his left torso is some sort of wound. The clothing he wears is named Bound and the wound is named Reminder. The outfit is named War.

Personality and Traits

Stultus is deeply conniving and manipulative. Most of the time, The Fool embodies chaos, reveling in the suffering around him. He presents himself as a cold-hearted, powerful figure, frequently challenging players to duels or engaging in mind games. He has been known to stalk players from the shadows, inducing insanity and forcing them to kill each other. However, at very rare moments, he does have a soft side that is either lost or being repressed dramatically to avoid suspicion of a higher hierarchy. He's also known for his very slow and dramatic turns while also being constantly serious and still.

Abilities

  • Shadow

An ability shared amongst all Cards, he fades into the shadows and becomes invisible.

  • Mimicry

A favorite game of his, he enjoys taking on the appearance of other players, or a person from their friend's lists, and attempts to convince them he is a friend, so that he can turn on them later, inducing despair.

  • Visions

When Stultus is upset at somebody usually or he is in a state of panic, red text with different phrases will appear and disappear. Canonically the player is supposed to be confused and dizzy, even cold. The phrases include "An old song behind the well. / it speaks in tongues. / Visions of midnight and gold / He's here / Endless woe / Fear, fear, fear, fear, / Nothing but despair / Miseriae / Dolor / Timor / Voices / He's near / I'm trapped / Approaching / Whispers / Pain... so much pain... my head... / Visions of death / I'm... so cold..."

  • Petrify

Not used very often, if used at all, but he can completely stop everything around him. You become unable to move for about 20 seconds, yet you can speak.

  • Possession

Stultus can take complete control of the player's body, and the player will not be unable to move or speak, only watch.

Hall of the Fool.

Hall of the Fool is a myth game created on January 20th, 2019. It is medieval inspired with the primary structure resembling a castle. It is always in a state of darkness, with the sun never rising. There are two main symbols found on the castle, Pain and Chaos. Chaos is a double-sized horizontal arrow, pointing in all directions, resembling disorder, while Pain is a circular shape with lines inside it that may be recognized as an F. The mechanics are fairly simple. Z allows you to bow down on one knee, while Q lets you dash for a second. It works all directions too with their own unique animation. However with PVP, left click lets you hit other players with F lets you block, a right click is a heavy attack. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

When the player first spawns into the game, they're greeted with the text, “You are missing something, otherwise why would you of have come here? Let us make a deal.” In front of them is the bridge — archways with hanging lanterns that stretch across for seemingly eternity. To the left side of the bridge, there's a pit they are unable to get out of unless they rejoin.

Going back to the bridge and continuing to walk down the path, it’ll lead the player into the yard or forest area. To the left of the player is the fountain. Instead of water, though, it is blood coming from the statue above that used to be a person. It has the Pain symbol instead of a usual face, almost acting like a mask with blood just seeping underneath. Unlike the rest of the area, white trees surround that specific spot.

Entering the main gate, statues are on guard on each side of the entrance, with blue lanterns beside him. Above are yellow and blue diagonal arrows pointing to seemingly nowhere, yet they symbolize something.

Going through, To the left is the “garden” area with Raphael’s, also known as Death, The 13th card, statue. Whenever he joins, there will always be a glowing chain connecting him to the statue, no matter where he goes in the game. Branches with thorns seem to crawl up toward a ball of light. The orb has a rainbow aura and gives light to the entire garden.

In that same main entrance area, to the right side is the Chapel. Unfortunately, the ladder is blocked off by an invisible wall, but upon walking there is the phrase “Tace Intus.” Which means “Be silent within.” At the entrance there are high fountains of blood as well. At the back of the chapel, the podium is also blocked off by an invisible wall however the player can pan their camera in a way perfectly to see the book inside of it. On the same stage, there is a black orb with a purple outline floating above that shocks purple lightning bolts in random directions.

Returning to the real entrance and walking through, Returning to the entrance and walking through the gates, you’re instantly met with yellow and blue tiles. To your right is the kitchen, filled with sharp, red light. Unlike most of the rooms, once entered, the music does not change. To the right are seemingly cages, and the left are six shelves filled with ingredients and tools. The oven is able to open and so is another door that very much could be used as a trap.

To the right is the library, which is bathed in purple light, giving it almost a calm feeling. Each table has those parallel arrows on the sides of it, and purple candles on every single one. There are purple orbs that give off a dim light. Going upstairs is close to the same thing. The music is more calm and quiet, perfect for a library.

Walking out of the library and into the main hall brings you to the throne room, also known as The Hall. The floor has the same yellow and dark blue tiles. However, looking up at the ceiling, its beautifully made out of stars. They’re constantly moving and twinkling. On the stage, podium, or whatever you’d wish to call it are the thrones. 5 in total, but the middle is for The Fool. A woman hangs on chains above the thrones, constantly dripping blood into a wooden bowl. “Upstairs” or rather just the indoor balcony, to the left side right by the thrones there's graffiti that says “To his face you’ll speak the phrase / A chance to meet / The Hall’s disgrace.”

The left side of the hall doesn’t have any rooms, the only room is seemingly a closet. Soft, blue light covers the hallway, unlike the right side.

On the right side of the hall, the first room is a lounge of sorts. Red banners hanging from every wall displaying the Pain symbol and a fireplace right in the middle. There’s some archery practice at the door, and at the back is what seems to be more training, yet that area is restricted due to invisible walls. However unlike the rest of the Hall, the room is mostly quiet. No loud bangs of music, rather static-like white noise. The second room to the right of the hall contains practice dummies and statues of guards. At the end are 5 chests, from left to right they contact the Royal Eviscator, Snake Spear, Straight Sword, Sana(Burn.), & Storm Blade. The music here is loud and obviously what you’d expect from a training room. Its bathed in dark green light and the lighting horrendous, making it harder to see your opponent.

Atrium Miseriae

Stultus is the owner of Atrium Miseriae and has the rank "The Fool".

Relationships

AModestEgg

Modest, also known as The Magician is the first card of the Hall, is arguably the most kind and upbeat. Stultus often intentionally avoids "The Magician" and will often chastise him. He seems to find the Magician irritating, bad at his job, and otherwise inferior, but despite this, he sometimes watches his magic shows and was even once featured in one.

RaphaelEnPenitence

Raphael is the 13th card, death. Stultus strongly dislikes him, as they are almost complete opposites. Raphael talks about how much he hates anybody who follows Stultus. They interact infrequently, and tend to avoid each other.

QuibbletheGecko

QuibbletheGecko is also known as "The Justice". Stultus hates them with a burning passion and often kills them, although they always come back to life. He calls "The Justice" a liar and someone who can’t even enact their own name. Justice is usually the one who stands up against Stultus, making them often butt heads over what is defined as "moral".
