Open 24 hours, 365 days a year.— Description of The Double R Bar.
The Double R Bar. is the primary game of Mulberries, which is owned by Randy and Roran (hence the name Double-R). The bar is made up of two bars, with a secondary bar in the basement being used as the base of operations for a contract killing ring.
Overview
The Double R Bar is a game made by Mulberries. It is two bars in one, owned by both of the co-owners named Randy and Roran. Randy owns the ground-level bar which is a fun place to spend time at, while Roran’s bar is more of a shady place. Many things from the past of Randy and Roran are found throughout the bar. They were given ownership of the bar from their father in 1954, and would begin caring for Mulberries in 1997. Later in Mulberries' life, he would begin to explore the bar and discover some secrets hidden in the place.
The Double R Bar is very popular and has people there all the time. It has a few simple puzzles and things to find, including a bunker that gives some backstory of the brothers and Mulberries. There are also multiple references to other big people inside the myth community around the bar. The game itself takes place in or around 2013.
Walkthrough
Once the player spawns, they should enter the building and go to the bar. They will see a man with, what is assumed to be alcohol, in his hand. A briefcase is on the floor next to him. There are three cards spread around him going in the order, “85A.” If the player heads onto the stage, they will see a man sitting near a drum kit. On the right behind the curtain, there is a trapdoor with a lever above it. Clicking the lever will cause the trapdoor to open, leading to Roran’s bar. On the right of the bar, there is a hallway that leads to a door with a red light above it. To open this door, the player will need a code. The code to open the door is “851” which is from the cards. The door should open, leading the player down a hall where they will arrive at Roran’s bunker.
Once the player is teleported to Roran’s bunker, they will find multiple interactable notes. On a table, there is a gun and two notes.
One note reads:
“June 17th, 1954 Dad told us that we are running the bar now, me and Randy are having mixed ideas on what to call it. On another note, this shelter is quite drafty and I’ll probably end up staying here some nights. It’s quite for what it is of course I can’t forget what’s going on in the current world, but hey might as well have some fun while everyone is going crazy. Times have changed and fear has grown.”
The other note reads:
“December 15th, 1997 Randy brought a kid to the bar, of course with his big heart he’s letting the kid stay here as a home. I said no to the bunker because I don’t need a kid getting in my affairs or accidentally shooting themselves. Randy says their name is “Mulberries” what a weird name for a kid, Randy just calls them Mill from what I can tell. Business? Booming as usual but I’m getting older and it seems like I ain’t going to be able to smooth relations with business.”
There is another note on the generator that states:
“April 14th, 1976 Trying to get this damn radio working! Of course being multiple feet underground probably doesn’t help out with getting signal but in these times hiding is all I can really do, competition is barren these days with only place like Freddy’s even getting customers… of course business is booming with my ruthless tactics, with the police behind my back I don’t think anything is ever going to change.”
Next to the calendar by the bed, there is a picture of Randy and Roran. When clicked, an image of the two in front of a building appears. The date “6/18/1964” is written at the bottom. There is a dialogue on the bottom that says, “It seems to be a picture of Randy and Roran, wonder what’s on the back?” On the back of the photo, the numbers “15-36-73” are written. A poster on one of the walls can be entered by walking sideways. Once entered, they are brought to a metal wall that needs to be opened. This can be done by pressing the first button on a keypad near the entrance of the bunker. The metal wall should not have disappeared, revealing a hidden room. It is filled with crates and empty shelves. More importantly, there is a note set on a crate with an old picture of Randy and Roran close by. Once clicked, the message "YOU FOUND A SECRET NOTE!" will be presented. The note reads:
"July 22nd, 2013 So there seems to be a large hole in the wall down in storage, Randy has no idea how it got there. What weirded me out was the fact there's a metal ''wall'' behind the hole, apparently it's just pipework according to Roran but something is off.. it sounds hollow? I wonder what's behind it there's no way it's just pipes. I'm going to investigate a bit today and see what I find I'll leave it down on this page.
Okay, so the ''pipes'' are not pipes it's some sort of door I could slide a piece of paper underneath the metal. There seems to be no way to open it from this side and the only place I can think of where it would be is the bunker that Randy told me about some years ago. I can't investigate there tonight or tomorrow there has to be a way in. (The paper is torn off here)"
Retreat to the bar, and enter Roran’s bar. On the left of the counter, there is a coke can. Click on it, and the player will have it in their inventory. Return to Randy’s bar and put the coke can into the coke machine. The coke machine will move out of the way and reveal a room. Inside is a leaky pipe, a guitar, A safe with an unknown combination, and a painting of a person. The guitar is a reference to Cegnite and the painting depicts the myth funnycomedians1.
Outside, there is a train cart where Mulberries stays. Inside, there is a desk with a photo of what is believed to be his parents. Above it, on the wall, there is another photo with the date “May 15th” under it. “I’ll find my way out one day I’ll be free to follow my dream then they will all see” is also written on the wall of the train cart, along with “encontre agua en la sangre - Marco” which translates to “I found water in the blood - Marco.”
The player can also find a framed newspaper about the band on the left of the stage. It reads, “Chicago Daily June 16th, 1997 Ace Hearts Band Still Playing After 30 Years Starting in 1957. A group of musicians formed the Ace Hearts band. Ace Hearts is a well-known band that has kept the Double R’ Bar in business for many years. The band leader Smith however has stated that it’s only a matter of time before the band is only eye candy. His reasons being old age.”
Behind the cola dispenser, The wall broke down revealing a safe. The safe have 6 number, You have to enter 6 number in the safe to unlock it, the code is from the picture of Randy and Roran in the bunker. Behind the picture, it have 6 number, which is "15-36-73". You can enter the number into the safe to unlock it, now the note.
November 17th, 1966
Roran and I can't get along anymore, just seem like he wants to own this place solo. We decided on an agreement as brothers as well as rebranding. "The Double R Bar" wonder what john would think of that, guess the old man is resting well knowing he doesn't have to deal with out infighting. Roran opened up a small bar in the old cellar and relocated everything around the bar, annoying but tolerable. The name? thought it was pretty creative myself "Roran and Randy" Double R".
History
On 5/3/2015, The Double R Bar was made, capturing a 1950-40s nostalgic style with a colorful cast of characters that stared at you from every direction. Roran and Randy were the only characters present with no sign of Mulberries.
Throughout 2015-2019: Mulberries was inactive even with the creation of their Twitter in 2018, involvement with "Circus in the Sky" was present but The Double R Bar remained unchanged.
On 5/11/20 Mulberries’ popular game The Double R Bar was completely overhauled since its first version dating back to 2015. It has been updated every single day since then and Mulberries himself has been increasingly more active. The secret room used to be Mulberries' quarters, where he had a desk with a picture of Lars_Bar, a gun, and a note, as well as a bedroll where he'd sleep, however, this changed into a grainy photograph of a myth hunter with the text "May 15th" underneath and a note that says "Nice one. Have fun."
Mulberries created “The Double R’ Bar.” on 5/3/2015, and since then has grown to what it is today. The Double R Bar reached 400k place visits on 11/25/20, and from then kept gaining popularity. The next achievement was 500k place visits, and this was on 12/31/20. Soon after that, the Double R Bar earned 600k place visits on 1/26/21. Throughout these years, Mulberries has referenced the CITS crew many times in their games and is associated with them. On 3/11/21, the Double R Bar Discord server achieved 100 members, and Mulberries stated that he “will be updating some things soon”.
On 3/12/21, Mulberries earned 800k place visits, which is their most recent achievement. Since then, Mulberries has been more active and has updated the Double R Bar numerous amounts of times. Following this, around 4/30/2021, a kitchen was added to the bar in celebration of one million visits. On July 23rd, 2021, the exterior was given a large detail update as well as some of the stuff on the inside. This also included an extension to the bunker. Much later on 10/24/2021, Mulberries had updated The Double R' Bar for Halloween, along with Roran's bunker being expanded. This was also right after the game had reached 2-million place visits.
On 9/17/2022, the game had reached over 5.4M visits, which had topped their previous achievement. Mulberries has been rarely seen since the last few months but most of the group's moderators and administrators often tend to host small "minigames" for entertainment and to merely maintain the game's activity such as hide 'n seek, trivias, Simon Says, etc. The game had also had a massive Halloween update in which many Halloween assets and props were added into the game such as Jack-O-Lanterns, ghosts, bowls of candy, and even a graveyard that unfortunately you cannot enter. The snow that covered almost everything in the map was removed, and a pick-up truck was added near the campfire and train cart. The Juke had also started playing ghoulish Halloween tunes and the map adapted a new "Fall" environment to fit it's new "Halloween" style in the update.
Trivia
- When Mulberries is in the server, they can provide dialogue for the various named NPCs scattered around the game
- There is a hallway next to the Coca-Cola machine and the stage. In it, there is a table with the Paper Plate Bunny mask on top of it--commonly attributed to CAROLlNE and CLINTEN
- On the roof, there is a bedroll, a guitar, and the book "Herobrine Stories and Encounters" written by late RMH co-founder RockOn80s1. The Midnight Shades accessory, known to be worn by rocks, lies on top of the book
- Across the roof, there is a chair and telescope. Next to that, is a candlelit table with two chairs, as well as two cans of Coca-Cola. The chair on the left is occupied by a hat display standing the Bozo the Clown hat on top of it, commonly attributed to G0Z. According to Mulberries, the display stand simply appeared on the roof one day, if Randy is to be believed
- At the entrance of the bar, there missing paper behind the welcome sign for Jewk. This is most likely a reference to his inactivity.
- Around both bars are photos of other establishments such as Dan's Diner. Near that photo is a poster relating to YUKC0.
Theories
- Roran uses the bar to cover up the fact he is an contract assassin.
- Lots of evidence points to Roran being an assassin, such as knives and other weapons found in his bunker.
- Roran’s bar is extremely different from Randy’s (more gloomy, fewer NPCs with ominous expressions).
- "Wall of Fame" (keeping track of people he is going to assassinate, also attached by a knife).
