Hi, I'm Jerry. Pleased to meet your acquaintance.— jerry
The First Player is, as the title states, the first person to join Roblox. The account related to this rumor is the user "Jerry", who was created in September 2006. The rumor was originally created in 2014 when Kazdam uploaded his "Roblox Myths I" forum post.
Biography
According to the legend, it happened in 2004, and his name was "Jerry". It was assumed that he was terminated for unknown reasons, and replaced with the user "ROBLOX". However, this myth was later proven to be false, as it turned out that a person with the username jerry had already existed on the website, and not only was their ID far from being one of the first, but they also weren't terminated, and Roblox was released two years after jerry's supposed join date.
History
The actual owner of the "Jerry" account had joined the website on September 19th, 2006, and they still seem to be semi-active, as one of their most recent badges is from a game that was made in 2019, but he seems to have been banned in at least 2020.
The rumor about Jerry seems to have been started by Kazdam in 2014, due to the first mention coming from Kazdam's "Roblox Myths I" forum post. It's unknown exactly why Kazdam chose Jerry or why he decided to make this rumor when the rumors about Admin were already quite popular. After the creation of this, the rumor actually stayed quite small, only being mentioned when people reposted the original "Roblox Myths I" forum post.
The most popularity which the rumor would achieve was when Enszo, a popular myth YouTuber, created a video on the rumor. This video, created in March 2017, briefly spoke about the rumor and quickly debunked it. As of writing this, this video has a whopping 122K+ views on YouTube.
