History
The Myth Hunt was founded on July 8th, 2017 by Enszo.
The Myth Hunt was created in the same week after Enszo's most recent myth-investigating YouTube series with the same name was created. The group initially served as a hub for information found within investigations, a place for members to discuss the content inside of the The Myth Hunt game series, and as a place to talk about the video series of the same name. Starting in early 2018, the group was transformed from a myth investigating group to a myth-inspired development group with one of the developmental projects being a game known as The Vault.
The Vault was originally going to be an adventure-type game where an unnamed protagonist is escaping from a grey figure only to find themselves entering inside of a vault. The vault contains secrets that must be uncovered in order to unlock who and what the grey-figure is. The project was discontinued after the development team became inactive and the group ownership was transferred to LinearValues.
On October 13th, 2019, The Myth Hunt had its ownership officially transferred over to LinearValues- previously known as AtomicPhysics at the time, as a result of Enszo retiring from the entirety of the myth community. In early ~2020 LinearValues gave away the group to reportedly being stressed and not wanting to work on it. The ownership of the group was given to PokeDeity and had been his group for many months before him having the same problems as LinearValues. The groups ownership was given to HexaViper near halloween as a joke but seemed to stick.
Later that year HexaViper had been given full owner of the group and has been owner for around 2 years. Around December 10th Aekyru had stolen the group from HexaViper by saying "Can I have ownership of the TMH Discord? Wanting to make a bot for it" and had stolen the entire group for a total of 18 days before the problems of HexaViper had concurred and with the help of Erich confronted Aekyru about it.
In Februrary 28, 2023, Hexa would announce his resignation as the group owner and passed the ownership to Matercept. Not much is known about him other than his Roblox bio reading he works behind the scenes. Then on March 4, 2023, Hexa released a document where the subject was to expose an individual named OzQ_0, commonly known as SoDah. The original document has long been deleted due to heavy criticism and insufficient evidence but an archive was created by SoDah to preserve Hexa's supposed "Harassment Campaign". The term came from SoDah herself. MrMa'at would later take notice about this document and came to talk with Hexa in which during the conversation, Hexa made an informal announcement of his retirement from the Roblox Myth Community. The group ownership was then passed to MrMa'at on the same day.
On May 23rd 2023, the members of The Myth Hunt and Myth Verse were purged by Aekyru. It went from 10.6k members all the way down to 6, with 1 additional member being added. This happened because Enszo did not agree with MrMa'at. What lead to this was MrMa'at using the threat of overshadowing a smaller group's talkshow in order to force the owner of said talkshow to preform shows for Myth Verse. The owner of the talkshow did not want to continue preforming for Myth Verse so he got Aekyru and Enszo involved and they both sided with the talkshow. In the end Enszo did not approve of MrMa'at actions and used a bot made by Aekyru to destroy the group.
The group then stayed dormant for several months until September 17 2023 when OzQ_0, previous co-owner of TMH, traded a 50 member group to get ownership of The Myth Hunt. After getting ownership they decided to make the group public for anyone to join. The future of TMH is still uncertain.
