Biography

2016 Interpretation

On a day in December, the random user received a message a sudden message from the user 4nn1 after being blown off by her friend. This message was simple, saying: "hi (username) :) i saw ur place and i think u are very good at biulding :) i think we shoud be freinds!!! we can hang out in my plase it wil becom famouse one day if u help me? :)"

The user had set their chat privileges to friends only, and 4nn1 was not a friend of theirs; so they were naturally confused and curious about how 4nn1 was able to message them. In response, the user said: "thanks for the compliments, but who is this? are you one of delorah's little friends?"

In response, 4nn1 said: "i do not know a delora srry :( but plese come to my place :)"

After ignoring the first message, the user received a second message from 4nn1 stating "i said come to my place"

After this, the user ignored 4nn1 again, and then 4nn1 stopped for a while. But eventually, 4nn1 would keep attempting to contact the user, so they eventually gave in and joined 4nn1. Upon joining the game, they were met with a basic Starter Place, with a few free model flowers, cats and dogs; everything was also colored a bright shade of pink. 4nn1 then said:

"omg!!!!!!!! (username)!!!!!!"

"omg omg omg ogm omg ogmg"

"(username)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!"

"wlcomme :)))))"

After this and a short conversation, 4nn1 would tell the user that it was their bedtime, and so they both left the game. After this, 4nn1 did not message the player for a whole week. When the player finally did receive a message with an invite to hang out, the player accepted the invite, so they could avoid any further annoyance from 4nn1. Unlike before, 4nn1 seemed sad: using frowney faces, and having a sad face on their avatar. Upon joining the game, 4nn1 began asking the player some disturbing questions, including:

"do u ever want to toucht he rusty nails"

"have u ever eaten a rraw dog??"

"where do yu live?"

The player told 4nn1 to stop asking such questions, as it made them uncomfortable. 4nn1 did not stop asking the questions, saying that the user could not leave until they answered the questions. They then blocked 4nn1, believing they'd never hear from her again. Only two days later though, they received several angry messages from 4nn1, demanding that the user come back to the game, as they "cheated" by not answering the questions. She attempted to guilt trip the user, by stating they only had a few days left to live, but the user ignored it. When the player attempted to join another game as a distraction, they were redirected to 4nn1's place. here, 4nn1 could be found, angry and confused. She asked why the user hated her, and why they were so mean. The player attempted to calm her down, but it did not work.

Later on, the user was dragged back into 4nn1's game, where she noticed that 4nn1 looked different. Now, her face had a red streak on it. The dog in her yard was also gone. Unlike the last time they spoke, 4nn1 was noticeably more calm this time, acting much like the first time they spoke. Eventually though, 4nn1 would say "its hot in here" unprompted. She left the game immediately after, and then the house began to burn. Inside of the house was a black corpse, with a smiling face. The user then left the game, never returning and never hearing from 4nn1 again.

Revised Story

Annie was a little girl, about seven or eight years old. She lived alone with her mother. Her father was out of the picture because he left his wife, or just died of natural causes. She also had no siblings, so her mother was the only person to look out for her. Her mother, however, had severe issues and took them out on her daughter. If Annie stepped even a little bit out of line, she would punish her in an incredibly cruel and unusual way. Locking her in a closet, poking her with sharp, rusty objects, making her eat her dog, and then mocking her for all of that afterwards. After a while, Annie couldn’t stand it anymore, and plotted to fight back against her mother and escape. She was unsuccessful. Annie’s mother gravely injured her, and then burned down the house with Annie inside. Annie now lives as some sort of digital ghost, living that day over and over in some sort of groundhog day loop. ‘4nn1’s Place’ is more or less her personal purgatory. I don’t think she’s evil, just a very frightened young girl.

History

4nn1 was created on December 15th, 2016.^[1] The creator, HershelLayton, would then create the 4nn1 creepypasta, which was uploaded onto the Roblox Creepypasta Wiki.^[2] Later, on the 8th of January 2017, the first encounter of 4nn1 ingame was uploaded onto YouTube, by the user Nusac.^[3] Apart from this, it seems that 4nn1 had no documented history except a few smaller edits on her Roblox Creepypasta Wiki page. Eventually, on February 5th, 2019, the Roblox YouTuber "realrolesarered" would upload a video titled "This CREEPY GIRL won't STOP MESSAGINE ME! *SUPER SCARY* (Roblox Creepypastas)".^[4] This video contained realrosesarered reading two creepypastas, including 4nn1.

Three weeks later, realrosesarered would upload another video, titled "I Joined The CREEPY GIRL'S Game And Then... (Roblox Creepypasta Mystery)".^[5] This video consisted of realrosesarered playing 4nn1's Place. Later on March 2nd, a third video, titled "The CREEPY GIRL Joined MY GAME... *SUPER CREEPY* (Roblox Creepypasta)" was uploaded onto the realrosesared channel.^[6] The day prior to this, 4nn1 would suddenly come online for the first documented time since 2017, updating her status to "i want to be famouse :)", updating her game, and uploading the decal "drawing1".^[6][7] In the aforementioned third video, realrosesarered can be seen interacting with 4nn1 in her game.

After this video, six decals were uploaded between March 2nd and March 21st. These decals were called "birthday", "broken", "tool", "dogy", "hungry" and "mocking".^{[8][9][10][11][12][13]} On the 28th of March, the fourth video, titled "THE CREEPY GIRL 4NN! MYSTERY *EXPLAINED*! (Roblox Creepy Pasta)" was released. In this video, realrosesarered tries to figure out the story of the myth, based on the original creepypasta and their previous videos. After this video, an additional six decals were uploaded, with the last one releasing on April 13th.^{[14][15][16][17][18][19]} On April 14th, 4nn1 would release a document via their profile status, in which HershelLayton announced the retirement of 4nn1.^[20] This document also contained some history for the account, as well as their interpretation of 4nn1's story.

On April 23rd, the fifth realrosesarered video, titled "THE SAD TRUTH ABOUT 4NN1... | The Final Chapter (Roblox Creepy Pasta)", was released.^[21] In this video, realrosesarered reads through a document created by HershelLayton, in which she announces the retirement of the 4nn1 myth, and discusses the myth's history and story. After this, 4nn1 would go inactive, and would largely begin to fall in popularity. This changed suddenly in mid-2021, when 4nn1 began becoming popular on TikTok. The #4nn1 received 46.1 million views, becoming the most-viewed Roblox myth hashtag on TikTok. In September 2021, the last realrosesarered 4nn1 video would release, titled "WHAT HAPPENED TO 4NN1?! Roblox Creepypasta".^[22] This video retreaded much of the information from the previous video, explaining that 4nn1 had retired.

In late August 2022, 4nn1 surpassed Chuck_Lloyd as the myth with the most place visits. 4nn1 would continue to grow, only briefly being surpassed by Mulberries in mid 2025. Eventually, around July 2026, "4nn1's Place" would get taken down, due to it being unrated. Prior to this, Roblox had manually rated this game, due to it being so popular, but it was re-rated and taken down due to it being recognized as a "Social Hangout".

Appearance

4nn1's current outfit consists of the "Straight Blonde Hair", "Jade Necklace with Shell Pendant", "Teal Shirt", and "Beautiful You Jeans". Apart from this she is fully colored gray and uses a "Roundy" head.

Personality and Traits

4nn1 seems to have the personality of a young girl due to her grammar mistakes. She uses emoticons frequently in her messages. She is usually cheerful but would get angry if ignored. When in-game, 4nn1 would set up traps that would either kill her or other players. She would also repeatedly sing "Ring-a-round the Rosie."

Game

4nn1's Place

4nn1's Place is 4nn1's only game and is the most visited myth game on Roblox. Her game takes place on the Roblox starter map, with all the bricks being colored pink. Apart from this, the game has a few flowers and dogs outside of the starter home. It is known that when 4nn1 is in game, they can make the starter home burn, but otherwise, the game doesn't have any functionality.

Theories

• 4nn1's father is deceased.
  • The main evidence for this is the lack of her father's presence in the 4nn1 story.
• 4nn1's dad gifted the dog to her.
  • Due to her mother's nature, it is more likely her unknown father would do something kind for her.

Trivia

• 4nn1 can make the starter house in her game set alight like in her story.
• There are three decals by 4nn1 where the source image is lost. Those decals are "drawing1", "mocking" and "tumbling down".
