Cegnite is a well-known myth within the myth genre. He is a self-proclaimed guitarist and an alcoholic.

Biography

Cegnite and his parents, Forlak and his mother, have parted ways, although it is unknown why. Both wish to find each other but are unable to do so. After a very lengthy hunt to find his parents, likely spanning across years, Cegnite creates a grave for the two of them as he is beginning to imagine that they may have died. With this thought in his head, he turns to alcohol, regretful of the potential passing of his parents.

Eventually, he meets DaxHaskett who attempts to teach him how to play guitar. This gets Cegnite’s mind off of alcohol and into a better place as he begins to learn to play the guitar more proficiently. Despite making his own parent’s grave, he refuses to believe fully that they are dead and continues to search for them both. However, unfortunately for his psyche, he will only find one.

History

Cegnite made their account on the 26th of December, 2017. He made his most popular game, "CEGNITE", on the 25th of December, 2017, and it was last updated on the 2nd of August, 2019. He then made his second game, Mind, on the 22nd of September, 2018, and it was also last updated on the 2nd of August, 2019.

User Dhallwial123alt, an agent of Roblox's Myths Intelligence Agency, put together a very short investigation report on Cegnite. This happened on December 27th, 2018. It was created sometime in early 2019, Cegnite updated his game, "CEGNITE", entirely revamping it. Cegnite would then again revamp it on 7/16/2021.

Currently, Cegnite has retired from being a myth.

Appearance

Cegnite’s current avatar consists of "Cegnite's Jacket", "Dirty Jeans with Boots", "Lots of dirt" t-shirt, "Auburn Spikes" hair, the "I Lack Personal Confidence" face, a "Orange Winter Scarf", and a "Guitar Backpack".

Personality & Traits

Cegnite is said to act light-hearted and comedic most of the time, it is also noted that his personality is never serious, and only acts in this manner rarely.

Cegnite

Cegnite is a game originally created on December 27th, 2017. The game was later re-uploaded onto another place ID, with the original place being repurposed for the game "Brooklyn". Cegnite has gone through several versions, but the current version is a trigger myth, consisting of different islands that can be unlocked in a succession. Each island conveys its own part of the story, incorporating Cegnite’s avatar in different settings. Walkthrough warning, please attempt to hunt before viewing, click "Show More" to view.

Upon joining, the player will be standing on a small island floating in the middle of water. In front of them, a grave with a glowing letter "C" can be seen. To their left, a guitar can be found on the island, and further down a dock can be seen. Under this doc, a rock with the letter "E" can be seen. Touching this letter will cause more islands to appear. This island consists of two paths. One path is split down the middle, with Cegnite, and another person, believed to be Forlak, being seen on each side. On the other path, the letter "G" can be seen on the side. Touching it will summon the next island. On this next island, Cegnite can be seen sitting in front of a grave. Beside this grave, a note with the text "I made this grave for my parents" can be found. To the right of Cegnite, on the edge of the island, the letter "N" is found, which will summon the next island.

The next island consists of an island with two above ground land masses, with a train track splitting it. On this path, DaxHaskett can be seen, walking by and looking at Cegnite's guitar. Above the guitar, the letter "I" can be seen on a rock. A new land mass will be summoned, attached to this island, featuring Cegnite standing in front of a small table with a radio on it. Attached to the table is the letter "T". Touching this letter will appear to do nothing, but if the player back tracks to the grave found in the beginning of the game, touching it will make the game dark. Alongside this darkness, a new island will appear, with a portal on it. Sadly, this portal does not seem to work. This is all for Cegnite.

Brooklyn

Mind (unavailable)

Mind is a game created by Cegnite. The game itself is very brief, with only a house, a tire swing, and Cegnite to rouse the viewer. The monochrome color scheme as well as the sad faces circling Cegnite evoke feelings of sadness and depression. The teleported place, D I G N I T Y, doesn’t give the player much to ascertain either, primarily only crosses engraved with the letter “D.”

Once the player spawns, they can see Cegnite with sad faces circling him. There is also a room in the house that has the lights on that can be seen through the window. On the right side of the house, there is a cross with a “D” on it. They will then be teleported to a game called “D I G N I T Y”.

When the player spawns into D I G N I T Y, the text “You have no reason to be here, you aren’t allowed here.” will appear at the top of the screen. They can see many crosses in front of them, as well as a statue of Cegnite. The player can walk up to the statue and press the “E” key. This will cause a text box to appear at the bottom of the screen, where the text “This is a secret go away.” will be.

Forlak

Forlak is confirmed through the games to be Cegnite’s father. It’s shown that they likely had a feud and departed from each other. Forlak misses Cegnite.

DaxHaskett

DaxHaskett is said by Cegnite to be his friend and the person who taught him how to play guitar. They are also seen near each other in Cegnite’s game “CEGNITE”.

Theories

It is unknown if Cegnite has reunited with his father or not.
- Throughout all of the games, it is never mentioned if Cegnite ever saw his father again.
- The last thing the player finds out about him being missing is Cegnite at a bar and Forlak somewhere else by himself.

Kay is the name of Cegnite’s father.
- On a gravestone found in “FORLAK”, it says “Find our boy, Kay.. I don’t think I’ll be around much longer..” This was Cegnite’s mother speaking, as she hasn’t been mentioned a lot in the story before.
- More evidence for this theory is provided in “FORLAK”, the user Forlak is playing the violin near the gravestone. This shows the player that Forlak isn’t the one who has passed, which could only mean it was Cegnite’s mother.
"Mind" represents Cegnite's depression.
- The darkness of the game and it being monochrome could represent the dark feelings which Cegnite holds.
- In the game itself, Cegnite is circled by sad expressions, which could represent the sad and depressing thoughts he has.
