Forest_Overseer was the leader of the Wanderers Of The Field, a connected group to The Days Union when it was still active as a myth. As the overseer, they tour hunters of "The Veil" and know about every Wanderer. They also were the spokesperson for it due to the Twitter linked to the group being registered to Forest_Overseer.
Biography
There is limited detail to Forest_Overseer's existence and overall background, including their purpose within "The Veil". They've only been shown to be the leader of the Wanderers of the Field and the main communicator to any outsiders. Forest_Overseer additionally has extensive knowledge of the rest of the Wanderers, including Supreme_Divinity's role as the gatekeeper. As far as theorizing goes, Forest_Overseer is thought to be one of the previous subjects sent into "The Veil", possibly the first, which would give them their leadership role.
History
Forest_Overseer joined Roblox on December 23, 2019, where they instantly joined The Days Union's Discord server to share a message along with a small picture of "The Veil". There are no records of how hunters reacted to this within the server, but Forest_Overseer apparently continued to share more teasers as the days went on. On December 26, 2019, they created the Wanderers Of The Field group and published "The Veil" the next day. This was for the introduction of the group through popular Youtuber, Flamingo. He had made a video of them touring "The Veil" and showing the members, their actions, and personalities.
Following the publication of this video, most of the members went inactive despite the group spiking with tons of new members. However, Forest_Overseer kept active as the leader of the Wanderers by making a Discord server and Twitter profile. Here, they really only reacted to fanart for a few weeks, with the last being on January 13th, 2020. This is assumed to be around the time they finally went inactive with the rest of the Wanderers. There are no known records of why they went inactive or if they were still active through Discord, but nothing else happened to "The Veil". This was until the game had some issues and needed to be republished by Forest_Overseer, which they did and then returned to inactivity.
Appearance
Forest_Overseer's avatar originally was all green with the "Forest King's Paper Crown" hat and the "Forest_Overseer" t-shirt. Together, these items made them look like a part of the forest while also being the ruler of it due to the crown. Unfortunately, Roblox's updates have dismantled the look to where they now have underclothing showing.
Personality and Traits
Forest_Overseer has always presented an outgoing personality, as they are constantly willing to introduce outsiders around "The Veil". They talked in all caps and often made grammar mistakes during their interactions with others. Despite many wholesome myths having an evil secret or dark side, Forest_Overseer does not appear to have one and genuinely enjoys spending time with others. They also do well in their leadership role as they treat most of the Wanderers with respect, especially Supreme_Divinity. They were stated to have spoken with perfect grammar and spelling in The Days Union's Discord server.
Game
🌲 The Veil
"The Veil" is an alternate dimension that was created or discovered by The Days Union. What exactly their intentions were with it are unknown but they did conduct some experiments with it by sending test subjects into it. None were said to have returned for an unknown reason. This game has simple exploration and no known puzzle present, however, there are apparently five statues present within the game with each having a letter to it. Once all five are collected, they would most likely spell something. Due to the entirety of the Wanderers Of The Field going inactive soon after its creation, there weren't any major updates following its release.
Once the player begins in "The Veil", they'll find themselves inside a cavern where they seemingly fell through the hole at the top. There is a bed and some crops set up in this spawn area. Around this giant cavern are green lights that light up the area so structures belonging to the Wanderers can be found. This includes Avocado_Adventurer's house, RADIO_BOX's radio, Draining_Sunflower's pond, Autumn_Misery's lamp post, Playground_boy's playpen, and a prisoner cage. The player can then continue into JELLI_BELLI's blue mushroom cavern, which will then lead to more areas. If they keep following the cavern, they will come across multiple areas that are ruled by certain Wanderers. The table in the ice cavern belongs to Colossal_Suspect, the igloo is for the ABOMINABLE_SNOWMAN, and the miniature Christmas tree is for ORNAMENT_CHRISTMAS. Eventually, they should reach the red ruby cave where Runner_Ruby controls everything. A statue is also present here with the letter, "C", written on it. The next two portions of the cave are dedicated to Lights_Traffic, CREEPY_ALIEN, and Motion_Art.
Finally, the player should reach a part of the cave where there is water present. This is where FlSH_HUMAN swims since there is another statue of them here with the letter, "L". This will lead to the last area, Supreme_Divinity's lair. Within this purple cavern is a bridge leading to a large gate. This portal unfortunately doesn't work anymore but it would bring the player to some game with Stygian_Dusk. This is all that has been discovered within "The Veil". The whereabouts of the other three statues are unknown.
Relationships
Mrflimflam
Forest_Overseer overall appears to be a friend of Flamingo's considering how they insisted on touring him around "The Veil" as soon as he mysteriously fell from the sky. Additionally, they must trust mrflimflam enough to introduce them to all the other Wanderers and bring him to Supreme_Divinity. Not much else has developed in this relationship following their original interaction.
Theories
- Forest_Overseer was going to have a fight with Runner_Ruby over leadership of the Wanderers.
- During their only recorded interaction in Mrflimflam's video, Runner_Ruby argues about Forest_Overseer "storming into his kingdom." and then refers to himself as an emperor. This shows their egotistical behavior which may have led them to be the leader of more than just their cave, which could mean stealing the role of being the Wanderer's leader from Runner_Ruby.
Trivia
- Forest_Overseer has no badges from other myth games but instead a handful from both "Arsenal" and "Anime Fighters Simulator".
- Viewed through Forest_Overseer's Twitter replies, the majority of the fanart they responded to has either been deleted or privatized. It is unknown why almost all of it has been deleted.
- The most recent message on the group wall was from Forest_Overseer on December 30th, 2019. The post states: "WOW SUPREME_DIVINITY JUST TOLD ME SECRET! : )", which probably means that the story would have continued through following this secret.
