It has close connections to the group The Myth Files (TMF) and the two groups often worked with each other. Today, it is mostly inactive; however, there have been past and current attempts to reinstate the group back into activity. Historically, the group was known for being against the use of the word "wannabe" in 2017, a philosophy which impacted the administrative guidelines of TMF.

History
The House of Morpheus (HOM) was likely founded in 2017 by TimGuy101. It was meant to be a place for myth hunters of different experience levels and sought to push back against the concept of a "wannabe" in the mainstream myth hunting community. The reasoning against the use of the "wannabe" label was similar to the reasoning for creating a myth hunting group that welcomed both experienced and new hunters; HOM believed that some myths were learning to become more experienced and that the stories of these myths would be lost if the myths were dismissed as "wannabes" of other myths.
Although few records exist of HOM's activities, there is some concrete information on them. For instance, the Town of Morpheus served as the group's hangout. The first iteration of the Town was being constructed in 2017, and it was last updated at the end of 2019. Eventually, this town had a second version - the likes of which was created in 2019 and was updated in August 2022. The Town of Morpheus depicts a town that has some of the primary hunters and myths involved in the group, alongside a few NPCs.
There were some notable myths in HOM. Arguably among the most popular of them is pulsations. However, there were some myths that ordinarily interacted with HOM, including Dreamy_Keke, Po_ison, and QueIey. Of particular interest to HOM was an investigation regarding GaryLamo, a smaller myth which appeared to have some related accounts.
HOM's administrative structure was typical of myth hunting groups, although as a small group, there was a lot of involvement coming from the higher-ranked members. Some notable members of administration included TimGuy101, the founder; tzic, the person who later founded TMF; and tommyboy3424. It was thought that tzic felt inspired by HOM's focus on the inclusion of different-skill myths and integrated that approach when she created TMF. In fact, HOM and TMF members were known to have informal joint hunts during the groups' earlier days. HOM and TMF would consider themselves mutual allies, even as they both became more inactive.
There were minor controversies within HOM's administration, although these were not on the scale of affecting the myth community at large.
Today, HOM is remembered as something of a pioneer. It introduced the thought that the "wannabe" label would lead to the ignorance of myths' stories. Its partnership with TMF helped to bring smaller myths to a larger audience, and HOM influenced the way that small myth hunting groups operated. As the 2017-2020 period of the myth community came to a close, there was a lesser usage of the term "wannabe". It is not sure if HOM contributed to this cultural movement, but certainly, HOM's philosophy has been passed onto newer iterations of myth hunters. A major example of this "passing of philosophy" can be seen through RMH Myth Development, a group which seeks to develop the game-making skills of small myths and help them become larger myths.
