This is a group of myth hunters. As a group we hunt for answers, reasons, life.— The Myth FilesThe Myth Files (abbreviated as TMF) is a myth-hunting group created in 2017. Its description concerns general values of ranking up people based on their contribution to myth investigations as well as not to cause drama with other myth hunting organizations. TMF discourages the term "wannabe" when describing myths. Its core values of myth hunting involve searching for "answers, reasons, [and] life" concerning the creations and messages of myths. It has strong connections with the House of Morpheus.
Description
"The Myth Files" is a group of myth hunters. As a group, we analyze the mysterious sides of ROBLOX, trying to find answers, reasons, and life within them.
These mysteries are called "myths," peculiar individuals who all have a story to tell.
On our journey through each myth, we rank people up for each clue or answer they find.
______________________________________________________
We don't want to cause drama with other groups. Please do not be disrespectful, that is generally rude.
Refrain from asking for ranks. We won't rank you up just because you asked. You have to earn your rank.
No advertising.
Avoid using the term "wannabe." We don't tolerate this here, we accept all shapes and sizes of myths at The Myth Files. Every myth has a purpose. If you think a myth is a "wannabe," keep it to yourself. Thank you.
History
The Myth Files was founded on December 2017 by tzic.
The Myth Files was createdwhen tzic and lolmylife230 were discussing various topics between each other. Tzic said she wanted to make a group for myth hunting, so lolmylife230 and tzic created the group and added the bio, logo, and ranks. Soon after creating the group, myths such as Po_ison, TheArkemix, YuukiTheFallenHero, and Cogville joined. These were some of the myths within The Myth Files which were frequently investigated (on account of their updating stories).
SakuTheMaid later joined the group and contributed a park and group items, helping to develop the group further with tzic, lolmylife230, and TimGuy101 at the helm. The Discord server of The Myth Files was also created by Saku in order to assist in contributing to myth investigations and to have a more open form of communication between hunters in the group.
The Discord server of The Myth Files has seen several changes in hands due to the changing responsibilities and availabilities of its administrators. After Saku was head administrator of the Discord server for some time, the responsibility was transferred onto members of the Admin rank and above. Slowly, a few original members of The Myth Files lost their interest in myth hunting and moved on to other endeavours.
The Myth Files was involved in a few controversies. Most notably, The Myth Files' investigations into gopherberry led gopherberry to allegedly get the IPs of some members, which was why The Myth Files declared gopherberry to be a dangerous myth. Even though the IP tracking affected some members in the long term, the controversy eventually ended. The barring of gopherberry from The Myth Files Discord server meant that gopherberry was no longer involved in contact with the group. Furthermore, the rising publicization of gopherberry and their blacklist from the myth community represented a "normalization" of the myth into a typical Roblox user; even though gopherberry was regarded as a myth, they no longer held the pretense of being mysterious or being someone who warranted investigations.
As of May 2023, The Myth Files is a somewhat semi-active group. Many of its original members, including the current owner tzic, are no longer active in the myth hunting community. However, there are still a few myths and a couple HRs who keep the group on life support.

Leadership
tzic
tzic is the founder and current owner of The Myth Files Roblox group. In the early days of The Myth Files, she was often leading investigations into various myths. Although large myths were shouted for myth hunts, tzic often hosted hunts for smaller myths. This practice set the focus of The Myth Files to investigating more minor myths, although there was always a regard given to large myths. The inactivity of tzic starting in 2021 led to the breakdown of formal myth hunts in the group; however, The Myth Files is still active through a few HRs. As of now, she is still inactive and hasn't been in contact with anybody active from the myth community.
