History

Myth Community Agency was founded on August 18th, 2020, by Universities.^[1] It was created after his previous group, Myth Hunting Unity, was shut down due to inactivity, and to start something new. Due to Universities' connections and popularity, the group gained members quickly. Within a matter of days, the group already had a few notable myths in their group, and reached over 100 members.^[2] On August 19th, a game, titled "MCA | Facility 11" was created in the MCA group, although the game itself was never released.^[3] During the next two days of the group, two side groups were created for MCA: "Myth Containment Agency Facility Guard" and "Myth Containment Agency Mobile Task Force".^[4][5] The group would also quickly make a Discord server and a myth application. Due to the deletion of this server, much of MCA's history is likely lost to time. By looking at internet archives of the group, it can be seen that the group would quickly gain members, having nearly three thousand members by October 21st, 2020.^[6] Prior to this, in September, three more groups were created in relation to MCA, those being "Myth Containment Agency Research", "Myth Containment Agency Science" and "Myth Containment Agency High-Command".^[7][8][9]

Throughout the next year, the group would go through few updates. Archives show that the membership of the group did continue to rise, with there being 6000+ users in the group in February 2021.^[10] During March and April, the group continued to grow, although the growth did slow down quite a bit by then. Little to no public updates happened in the group during this time, although it has been said that the group did have some development behind the scenes in regards to games, although none of these games were ever released. Eventually, on December 23rd, 2021, Universities shut down MCA indefinitely.^{[citation needed]}

Myth Containment Agency was brought back on June 27th, 2022, by user "xM_arcxs" and "Beryl_Shark".^[11] There was some interest from this early on, as multiple people began joining the group after this announcement.^[12] The MCA Facility game also began re-development, as the multiple group divisions started up again. Despite this early interest, the group did not appear to much of note after this, as there was a lack of motivation from most of the high command in the group. During this time, two divisions of the group were created, those being the "MCA Content Creation Program" and the "Myth Workshop".^[13][14] On December 11th, 2022, during the group's peak in terms of membership, the group was sold, and turned into a German military group. During this time, Universities was also exposed for their abusive behavior, and for their inappropriate behavior towards minors.

Later on in January 2023, the group was turned into a bakery group.^{[citation needed]} The group remained this way until February 3rd, when Beryl_Shark bought back the Myth Containment Agency group. On February 6th, Beryl Shark would create a YouTube video announcing this change, titled "I Revived One of The Biggest Myth Groups on Roblox!".^[15][16] The ownership of MCA would be transferred to the account "MCA_Leadership" during this time as well. At first, the star-up was relatively smooth, with a new Discord being created. However, after this, the past victims of Universities, the group's founder, noticed the group's revival. These people immediately brought their problems to Twitter to address it without attempting to resolve the situation privately first, which sparked later problems in the drama.

Much of the information regarding this fallout is lost to time, although it is known that multiple tweets by eatleech and LxdyOlivia were created, calling out Beryl. Beryl would create his own videos regarding the situation, attempting to clear his name and blame Olivia and Leech for harassment. Eventually, on February 15th, a tweet by eatleech would be released, stating that Beryl had decided to strike a deal with LxdyOlivia: this deal stated that if any negative tweets directed towards Beryl were deleted, he would hand over the MCA group to them.^[17] Therefore, the group came to an end with ownership passing over to Olivia, who later passed it on to eatleech. The following vandalization marked a final end to the official ending by Beryl_Shark. Eventually, the group would be returned to Olivia under the "RM_HOLDER2" account, which was later terminated, leaving MCA shutdown and inactive permanently.

Leadership

Universities

Universities was the founder and owner of Myth Containment Agency from 2020 to the end of 2021. He was the lead developer and manager of ranks, departments, and games. However, due to personal situations and other projects, he was never able to produce much content for the group and ended up shutting it down for a few months. He officially retired from his position when xM_arcxs bought ownership of the group. However, Universities was later exposed for some inappropriate actions which later came back to the group due to it being his work.

xM_arcxs

xM_arcxs was an owner and one of the leaders in the new era of the Myth Containment Agency. Along with Beryl_Shark, he was finishing the majority of what hadn't been finished in the group after buying it from Universities. His ownership brought a surge in activity to the group and Discord. He was an active member of the myth community from 2016-2019 and took a break for a few years. He returned to the community through Myth Containment Agency in June 2022. However, after a few months Myth Containment Agency was resold by him which began the downfall of the group.

Beryl_Shark

Beryl_Shark was the co-owner of Myth Containment Agency when Marcus was leading it. They assisted the owner with general managing of the group, and later rebought the group for rebranding and then for the shutdown. They grew in popularity during 2022 for some of their YouTube videos and well as building friendships with myth creators and myth hunters.

Baddieblood

Baddieblood was the temporary owner of MCA, after they were given ownership of the group by Beryl_Shark, later to give it to someone else. They would shutdown the group and thus end MCA.

eatleech

eatleech was a famous myth hunter and one of the members of the AloneTraveler myth. They were a victim of Universities/AloneTraveler. After the group was given to them by Baddieblood, they changed MCA's description to "Shutdown by the Victim of Gourbrein/Universities/AloneTraveler", making a true end to Myth Containment Agency, and putting on display the terrible actions of Universities on her twitter.
