Biography

The story of CoatsOfClaude is quite unclear, with many believing the myth didn't have a story. This is due to the disconnected nature of the games, and the lack of clear storytelling in many of them. There are however some theories which can be ascertained. See the Theories section for more information.

History

CoatsOfClaude joined Roblox on the 7th of May, 2015. Despite this fact, it does not seem she was active during the early days of her account. It is likely that she was completely inactive prior to 2018, although this is not known for sure. The first known activity tied to CoatsOfClaude happened on January 8th, 2018, when CoatsOfClaude created their first known game, "I had a nightmare."^[1] Following this, she would go on to make several more games throughout January and February, with the last known one being her most popular game, "Hennes Kjeller av Blod".^[2] On January 17th, 2018, CoatsOfClaude would upload the first video to their YouTube channel, titled "Video 1 of 5".^[3]

On March 19th, 2018, CoatsOfClaude was demoted from "-Smaller/Upcoming Myth/Myth Game Dev-" to the "{SUSPENDED/Exile}" rank in RMH.^[4] This was reverted soon after though.^[5] On May 9th, 2018, Roblox YouTuber Flamingo would upload the video "DO NOT VISIT THIS ROBLOX GIRL".^[6] This video would prominently feature CoatsOfClaude, including many of their games and their YouTube videos. After this, it is presumed that CoatsOfClaude would become quite popular. On May 31st, the "CultOfClaude" group would be created by CoatsOfClaude.^[7] Later in July 2018, the "Mark of Thorn" group was created as well.^[8]

Throughout the next year, CoatsOfClaude would be apart of multiple controversies, leading them to go on various hiatuses. In late 2018 or early 2019, two of CoatsOfClaude's most popular games "Hennes Kjeller av Blod" and "Hennes Natt, Hennes Ofre".^[9] Sometime in 2020, CoatsOfClaude would private their games for unknown reasons.^[10] Likely during the same time, Coats Of Claude would private most of their original videos, although two other videos would still be public on the channel.^[11] In late 2022, the CoatsOfClaude account was deleted, with it's username then being changed to "[Account Deleted (83191704)]". It can be inferred that this decision was intentional on her end, wanting an escape from Roblox as most of her harassment and history is sourced from the account. Eventually, in 2025, her username was made available so that other users could use it, making it possible for another user to take the username.^[12]

Controversy/Drama

During the entirety of their early history as a myth on Roblox, claims surrounding CoatsOfClaude and alleged pedophilia existed. One such example, put forward by an anonymous user, came from a user who was thirteen years old. This user was contacted by Claude, who was allegedly 19 at the time. Claude wanted to date the user, despite knowledge of their age, and upon being rejected, Claude would threaten the user, stating that she was going to cut herself. She also created pornography depicting the underage user, which was then spread around.^[13] After this Claude, decided to get revenge by contacting Kazdam, who subsequently lied about the events surrounding the grooming.^{[citation needed]} She also attempted to get GuyFromBoston to attack her, purposely sending him information.^{[citation needed]}There were also claims of her being apart of an "erotic roleplay chat" on Discord which floated around in 2018.^{[citation needed]}

In June 2018, three months after the incident involving the thirteen year old, a video would be uploaded by CoatsOfClaude, titled "message".^[14] The video itself is lost to time, although a few stills have been saved.^[15][16][17] In the video, CoatsOfClaude claims she was going to kill themselves due to the "harassment" she had faced.^[18] They blame Stefano in particular for the harassment she faced.^[15] In a message related to this video, a user clarifies that the "harassment" inflicted by Stefano was due to the fact that CoatsOfClaude allegedly posted nude images of herself in a public Discord server, despite the known fact that children were present in the server.^[19][20]

Despite the multiple allegations which she faced, it seems that she did continue to be active in the community, although her activity went down dramatically over time. In late 2018, she had been banned from the RM Discord server due to her behavior towards others and the staff. The reason for her ban states "NSFW, Causing Riots, Fighting with Admins, Causing Drama, Offensive and Suggestive Messages and All files/links must be safe for everyone to click, including underaged players, failure to keep to this will result in immediate ban. This ban will not be appealed."^{[citation needed]} After this ban, she continued to rarely be seen in the Roblox's Myths Containment Facility.

Another claim made in relation to CoatsOfClaude is that they were owned by the user "buildergirl656". buildergirl656 was a popular user on the Roblox forums mainly in 2013, mainly due to her frequent posts on Twitter, which often featured images of herself. buildergirl656 is often recognized today as a predator, due to the fact that they frequently would send nude images to users, regardless of age, and the fact that she tried to have a sexual relationship with a user who was ten years old, while she was 18.^[21][22] The only proof of buildergirl656 owning CoatsOfClaude originates from a conversation between Claude and the owner of the group MUGEN. In this image, she would ask a question about buildergirl656, to which Mugen asked why she was asking questions about herself. She responds to this message, stating that she is "forgetting facts about herself".^[23] Apart from this one conversation, it seems that there are no proven links between buildergirl656 and CoatsOfClaude.

In August 2025, a post was created in the RobloxMyths subreddit, containing information regarding CoatsOfClaude.^[24] In the comment section for this post, a comment was made by an anonymous user, containing more information regarding CoatsOfClaude's actions during 2018.^[25] This included the information that CoatsOfClaude allegedly dated RazorSharkTooth, who was fourteen in 2018, while Claude was supposedly 19. From this post, it is also revealed that CoatsOfClaude supposedly attempted to apologize to one of her victims, although her response supposedly consisted of her claiming she did not remember anything she did, meaning it did not happen. Another source, that being Karmascouture, made similar statements regarding an alleged apology in late 2023.^[26]

Appearance

CoatsOfClaude's current outfit consists of the "Evil Jester", "Zebra Mask", "Warm Woolly Hat", "Cotton Candy Hair" and the "Semi Colon Open Paren" face. Apart from this, CoatsOfClaude wears "Cotton candy messy hair" shirt, the "thorn_symbol" pants and the "cbts" t-shirt.

Personality and Traits

CoatsOfClaude in game is very silent, very rarely talking. She also very rarely joins games or goes online, and has been noted on multiple occasions for apparently being very laggy in games. On Discord, it is said that she was very toxic, with several users disliking her for her behavior.

CultOfClaude was a myth group created by CoatsOfClaude on May 31st, 2018.^[7] The group was likely created as a fan group for CoatsOfClaude, although it could also have some lore implications. After CoatsOfClaude deleted her account, the group gained new ownership. This was done utilizing the option to claim ownership of a group without an owner. Because of this, do not harass the new ownership.

Mark of Thorn

Mark of Thorn was a myth group created by CoatsOfClaude on July 4th, 2018.^[8] The group was likely created as a fan group for CoatsOfClaude, although it could also have some lore implications. After CoatsOfClaude deleted her account, the group gained new ownership. This was done utilizing the option to claim ownership of a group without an owner. Because of this, do not harass the new ownership.

Theories

• CoatsOfClaude was created as a form of self-expression.
  • The myth seems to dive into themes of mental health issues, as can be seen with some of the game titles.
    • Their now deleted videos also contained imagery of self-harm.
    • Their previous avatar used the "thorn_symbol" pants, which appear to be scars which were etched into Claude's body.
  • The myth's games feature dark themes like murder, which could be due to the creator's dark headspace at the time.
