Biography
Aftermath of M.A.D.
After the events occurred in the Mental Assistance Department, many changes will be done, such as the creation of an Astronomy Division whose job is to study outer space. This division will receive many unknown signals from far away places, one of which will turn out to be the coordinates of the Traveler’s Sanctuary. Traveler’s Sanctuary is a realm used as a hub in between worlds that Corlonisk travels through. There is also a cave, where the Drifting Informant resides. He teaches the player the basics of combat that they need throughout their adventures, as well as gift them with the Implacable Redeemer. The Drifting Informant is a very knowledgeable person who has a special relationship with a friendly creature named Esmay. They met each other when the Informant wouldn’t let some powerful being commit horrible acts across the many worlds that exist, so it banished him into the void where he would disintegrate into nothingness. He then would be saved by her and woke up in a familiar place, where he would find Esmay at his side. He could hear and understand her, but she could not talk, which leads the player to believe that she uses telepathy. They want to stop the people who nearly killed the Drifting Informant by finding someone with the potential to do so. Esmay is also very helpful to other travelers, as she can reverse time to a certain extent and create checkpoints. There are five worlds and a training area that can be accessed from the sanctuary, each holding some amount of value. These worlds are known as Plectrum, Abstrusia, Umbra, Hydrown, and The Home of the Herald.
Plectrum
The first world is Plectrum, the world of the stringed people. Here, there is a small town where instrument people live. Normally, Old Violin Baroque takes visitors to the First Gift located at the top of The Great Tuning Tree by playing a magic melody. However, it seems that there’s a problem, as people known as the members of the Order of Gifts attack everyone on sight. Old Violin Baroque tells the player that they are behaving differently from normal members of the Order, implying something happened. Though the stringed people are sentient instruments, they still have a life cycle, and because of this, Corlonisk gave them the Gift of Creation. This creates a creature known as The Woodworker. Its job was to create more of the stringed people to prevent extinction. The gift then becomes corrupted, making The Woodworker commit horrible acts. The Woodworker is defeated and it was discovered that it was taking humans and turning them into instruments instead of taking the usual wood from The Great Tuning Tree. The people who were captured were put through eternal agony and could not think for themselves anymore, their minds only centered on music. After slaying the corruption and achieving the Gift of Creation, the First Ballad can be obtained. It is the first instrument crafted by the Gift of Creation, which is known as a lute among the puppet-masters. The creation of the weapon took many days and encouragement from the stringed people.
Abstrusia
The second world, called Abstrusia, is the world of the Kolorful Klowns. Before the Gift of Reality was given, Abstrusia was a mass of lines and colors without logic or form. The Core was the guardian and god of this world. The Gift enabled these colors and chaos to begin taking a more orderly and logical structure, ending up with the current Abstrusia which allowed life. Abstrusia is a bright and colorful place, in which a small village with few houses where the Korlorful Klowns are living can be found. Among this multitude of colours are dark, black places which cover certain areas, such as a huge skyscraper and one of the klowns' houses. Although the nature of this black substance yet is uncertain, it's spread across the world, removing all traces of colour and happiness. While exploring, the traveler meets Serious, a clown very different from the other who isn't happy or colorful, as he's been corrupted by the spread. He explains to the traveler that the Core has to be defeated, as it is in a bitter struggle with the Gift for the dominance of the world. The victory of the Core on the Gift would cause the wrap of the current reality and put an end to all existence.
It turns out to be a trap: The Gift wanted to overpower the Core to take control of the world and turn it into its own reality. It controlled Serious, who manipulated the player into believing that the Core was the threat. The Core fought off the spread of The Gift's corruption, but the traveler came and destroyed it, slaying the purity and causing the corruption of the entire world. Abstrusia becomes a grey, dark reality where profit is the only interest, and where the last former residents are doomed to be forever immersed into an artificial happiness. After acquiring the Gift of Reality, the player will be given the Sanity's Requiem, a kind of yo-yo whose colours recall the Core and former chaos of Abstrusia.
Once the First Arc is completed, the player will be able to complete a side quest accessible through a portal located in Abstrusia. The player enters Abstrusia's Outskirts, where a house completely covered by the black substance can be found. Inside is a logbook recounting the events and parts of the life of the former resident, who seems to have been attacked and corrupted by the darkness. There is also an entrance to a basement, which turns out to be a teleporter to a boss fight. Once in, the traveler faces someone caleld Mr. Scribbles. After defeating him, the traveler will be able to access the rest of the facility, where more notes about the former resident, whose name is Yames, is found. It is learned that Yames is actually Esmay's brother, and was planning to give her a gift named the Parva Amicus, a cute little robot that assists its owner in battle. However, the abnormality corrupted him before he was able to give the gift. Yames, now in a new form and his machines controlled by the corruption, attacks any outsiders entering the area. Once the last room is reached, the traveller can open the gift, and obtain the Parva Amicus.
Umbra
The third world that can be accessed from the sanctuary is Umbra, the world of the Shade Lurkers. The Shade Lurkers are beings that lived in complete darkness until they were given the Gift of Light. The gift was meant to introduce them to the concept of light, causing them to gain the ability of communicating through touch and detect light with these heightened senses. Umbra contains a ball of light that was split into five pieces due to the Shade Lurkers hating their Gift. The ball of light is eventually whole again thanks to the player and is able to break out of it’s prison, where it then threatens to kill everything in Umbra, claiming the Shade Lurkers are inferior and that their extinction will be beautiful. The player that helped the light ball disagrees and stands against it, leading to the light ball being turned into The Radiant and being slain by the player. Afterwards, it was noted how strange it is that the Gift of Light rejected it’s owners. Once acquiring the Gift of Light, the True Witness is also obtained. The True Witness is a spear or lightning bolt like weapon made from the flesh of the Radiant.
Hydrown
The fourth and last world of the first arc is Hydrown, is the world of the Hydrians, and takes place in the middle of a large ocean. In the past, the residents of Hydrown worshipped three gods, Seamoyr, Bludscar, and Octogar, guardians who protected them in exchange for offerings. However, these gods became greedier and more neglectful. Then, Corlonisk came, granting Hydrown the Gift of Guidance. This gift was a symbol of hope for the Hydrians, giving them the option to rebel and worship new gods who cared more about them. A while after, the Lighthouse, docile at first, became alive and suddenly had a conscience, which grew along with an insatiable hunger. Once a true paradise representing their newfound hope and rebellion, the Lighthouse became a trap, luring all the Hydrians before devouring them. The three gods, upset at their lack of worship, worked together and decided to put up barriers to the Lighthouse island, to prevent more Hydrians from going to it and forcing the Hydrains to worship themselves only. This made the situation worse; The Hydrians turned against their former gods, accusing them of treason, and wanted more than anything to go to the Lighthouse. Gradually, the population of Hydrown began to dwindle, until no one was left except the Captain Nemo and two sailors, whom the player meets on the first island, as well as some cultists on other islands. After going through the world and opening the gates to reach the Lighthouse, the player fights the Lure, and purifies the world. The traveler will then find themselves in a cold room, where all the bodies of the Hydrians are stored, frozen or eaten. June, also present in the room, explains to the player that she had never imagined such a thing could happen. After that, the Gift of Guidance can be acquired along with the world's weapon called the Wave Breakers. After completing the four worlds, a cutscene will be played, thus ending the First Arc.
The Herald & Order of Gift
The Home of the Herald can also be accessed through the sanctuary, making it the fifth world. To progress through the place, the player must have acquired the gifts of all the previous worlds. The Home of the Herald is a peaceful place, where an entity called the Watcher lives. The small planet contains two caves, where references to the Mental Assistance Department, and June_Bellowin’s room can be found. In the room is her diary, in which she often writes about her encounters with the travelers, her journeys through the multiple worlds and Corlonisk. It’s mentioned that she writes down all of these to not forget, like her father, who will be later revealed as the Drifting Informant. June planned on asking Corlonisk for the Gift of Humanity so she could know what it is like to feel, as she is a doll. This was until she was informed that he may be the cause of the gifts becoming corrupted. In return, the traveler was given June’s trust, as well as the powerful weapon known as The Lost Defender. This longsword is known to be a strong defensive weapon that uses the weapon art named Critical Defense.
The Order of Gift is a group that formed to support Corlonisk and the Gifts he gives. The members see them as good and guard the gifts in each world, as they are sacred and have to be preserved. It seems that something happened at one point, and the creation of the most recent gift caused the members of the order to be corrupted by a terrible Urge, changing their behavior, possibly controlling them and preventing them to think for themselves in order to make them strictly guard each of the gifts, even against their will. This would explain why they attack any outsiders or persons who could possibly attempt to steal the gifts away or harm them, whatever the way.
History
Traveler’s Sanctuary seems to have been created around early-March. It is the continuation of the Mental Assistance Department myth. Corlonisk posted a group shout containing a link to the game, Traveler’s Sanctuary. From here, the myth would gain a decent amount of popularity and visits from many myth hunting groups such as Robloxian Myth Hunters. Around this time, some of the rank names featured in the group were named differently. June_Bellowin would be ranked as a Wanderer and the Developer rank was known as “Acolyte”.
On June 4th, 2021, the popular YouTuber known as Stalzie, uploaded a video where she would investigate the Traveler’s Sanctuary. This video would be followed up by two more guides for Abstrusia and Umbra. July 12th, 2021, Corlonisk would post a group shout that contained a link to a YouTube video. This disturbing video contained information about the Order of Gifts, showing that something happened to it.
On July 10th, 2022, the Development Team behind Traveler's Sanctuary announced their break from working on it as well as addressed many different issues such as those revolving around pressure, anxiety, and the treatment of the developers. Relating to this announcement, there was a game released to the Roblox group which includes some personal opinions from JustSomeGuySitting and Flawed_Immortal.

Traveler’s Sanctuary is a hub of different worlds that Corlonisk has traveled to, spreading his gifts in each one. There are 4 of these main worlds: Plectrum, Abstrusia, Umbra, and Hydrown. Each world follows the general format of the player needing to complete certain puzzles, slowly working their way towards a culminating boss battle. Completing a world’s boss battle will allow the player to take that world’s gift and the player obtains a new weapon, which can be used during combat in any of the worlds. Upon completion of all of the worlds, The Home of the Herald (refer below) can be accessed via a portal.
The Home of the Herald
The Home of the Herald is the world that June_Bellowin lives in. To explore the majority of the game, the player will need to complete the first act of Traveler’s Sanctuary. Here, connections with the Mental Assistance Department and June learning that Corlonisk might be making the gifts corrupted are found, and a weapon, The Lost Defender, can be obtained.
