Wormhub was a former myth group co-founded by Fiddlepat and 1_AD, created as a spinoff of Grocery Gang. The group was active for roughly two and a half months before retiring on March 24, 2020. The Roblox group still exists but has since been repurposed and renamed multiple times, currently titled 「 ɢᴇʟᴠɪɴ 」 and operating as the personal developer group of gelvinware, formerly known as Fiddlepat.

Biography

Wormhub was built as a follow-up to Grocery Gang, keeping the same surreal tone while running on entirely original lore centered around a subterranean worm kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by Fiddlepat, the self-proclaimed Worm King, and his co-ruler 1_AD. A major part of the lore was their rivalry with falsewormking, who stubbornly insisted he was the true ruler of the worms and would aggressively confront anyone who sat on his throne.

The central lore event was the "Byknock plague", a fictional disease experimentally released in Norway in November 1995, according to logs found on a secret underground computer terminal. The plague left Fiddlepat with migraines, nausea, and physical mutations.

History

Wormhub was founded on January 6, 2020, the same day that twelve members departed Grocery Gang in solidarity with Fiddlepat, who had been forcibly removed after refusing to hand over his Roblox account credentials to Amazook following a harassment controversy involving member TlPPYSHIP.^[1] 1_AD cited in a Discord call that they left because the group "was changing a lot about the myth."^[2]

The myth gained widespread attention through two Flamingo videos. On January 19, 2020, "Roblox's disturbing tea party..." documented Fiddlepat's Tea Party game, during which Fiddlepat also confirmed on camera that he had separated from Grocery Gang^[3]. On January 23, 2020, "There's a Roblox disease..." documented Flamingo, Fiddlepat, falsewormking, and 1_AD being chased through a foggy, radioactive ghost town by an unseen entity, culminating in the discovery of the Byknock plague logs underground.^[4]

On March 24, 2020, Fiddlepat announced his retirement from the myth community on Twitter and Discord.^[5] 1_AD retired alongside him the same day. Fiddlepat subsequently removed all members from the group except for TaroYamada39, and repurposed the group as a fund-holding account and storage for 88 alternate accounts used in the game Rogue Lineage, worth approximately 2,800 Robux at the time.^[6]

Following the disbandment, falsewormking briefly joined the myth GATHERING OF FOLLOWER before retiring.^[7] Worpheme retired from the myth community entirely. Fiddlepat later began development on a planned reboot titled The Provinces of The Pale, though the project was placed on indefinite hiatus.^[8]

Controversy

The current Grocery Gang Roblox group description lists several former members, including those associated with Wormhub, under language describing them as "predators, manipulators, abusers."^[9] No formal documentation backing these claims as they relate to Wormhub members specifically has been found.

Worpheme

A parody of Wikipedia and former Grocery Gang member who joined following the January 6 departure. Worpheme joined the myth community in late 2019 as an original member of Grocery Gang. Originally, their name was "WOKOPEDIA" and they were a parody of Wikipedia. Due to the changing of the story of Grocery Gang, Worpheme left Grocery Gang to be apart of Wormhub, along with other Grocery Gang members Fiddlepat and 1_AD. Since Wormhub’s disbandment, Worpheme has retired from the myth community.

Game(s)

The Fog

Features a desolate, radioactive ghost town enveloped in a dense wall of fog. Featured in the Flamingo video "There's a Roblox disease..." on January 23, 2020. The game is currently private.

THRONEROOM

Created by falsewormking. The game consisted of a single medieval-styled hallway and throne room where falsewormking would aggressively confront any player who sat on his throne. The game is currently private.

Fiddlepat's Tea Party

Created by Fiddlepat. The game begins as a surreal tea party but shifts into a post-apocalyptic bunker after the player summons "The Butter Man." Featured in the Flamingo video "Roblox's disturbing tea party..." on January 19, 2020. The game is currently private.

• The "Byknock plague" lore name is a deliberate phonetic misspelling of the Bubonic plague.
