DanStickman

Come visit my diner sometime.— DanStickman

DanStickman is a popular myth, known for their association with the Smiles Family. He was an old friend of Robert's, and after RobertSmiles died, he has been taking care of Seth, Matthew, and Clair. He also owns a diner, which is his main game. In the main storyline, Dan is the deuteragonist of the story as his role in the myth is significantly the second important behind the Smiles Family themselves.

Biography

DanStickman is said to have been a good friend of RobertSmiles. After the gas explosion at the Smiles Family home, DanStickman appeared, stating he could "see the flames" from wherever he was. After this, he told the kids that they could stay with him. They'd then move to Florida together, living close to Dan's Diner. During his time as the caretaker of the children, he was quite protective over them. This is possibly due to his knowledge of their destiny to kill DIAM0NDEYES. His knowledge of a prophecy to kill this creature led to him creating a temple beneath his bar, which the children end up discovering.

Eventually, Dan and the children, alongside Flamingo, would confront DIAM0NDEYES. During this confrontation, Dan would get killed by DIAM0NDEYES.

History

DanStickman created his account on January 24th 2019.^[1] The next day, his game "Dan's Diner" would be created.^[2] Apart from this, not much is known about the early history of DanStickman, as there is no documentation of him before August 2019. On August 2nd, 2019, Flamingo would upload his video "Roblox, The Smiles Family...".^[3] While this video didn't feature DanStickman directly, he could be seen on SethSmiles' friends list during the brief glimpses of his account. Later, on the 10th of August, Flamingo would upload his second video, titled "Sleeping over Roblox's SMILES FAMILY house...".^[4] This video featured DanStickman more prominently, with him showing up at the very end. Two days later, a video titled "Untitled" would be uploaded onto the Smiles Family YouTube channel.^[5] This video would future DanStickman prominently for a few frames, although the video's contents are quite unclear.

After this, in December, DanStickman would become active again, as he'd develop a remake of his place "Dan's Diner". The exact time when this game was developed or released is unknown, although the texture for the floor in Dan's Diner was uploaded on December 19th.^[6] Information regarding the original Dan's Diner is practically non-existent, although it is known that there was a game in existence due to messages referring to it.^{[7][8][9][10][11]} On December 22nd, Flamingo uploaded his video "The Roblox SMILES FAMILY DINER...".^[12] This video prominently featured Dan's Diner and the DanStickman character, as well as the new character 6njm.

On December 30th, 2019, recognized myth hunter Iateabanma had written a myth report containing their theorization and exploration of SethSmiles' and DanStickman's games. This was for the notorious division of Roblox's Myths, Roblox's Myths Intelligence Agency, where iateabanma was an agent.

After this, DanStickman would make his next appearance in the video "I have to kill the Roblox SMILES FAMILY...", released on February 16th, 2020. On January 5th, 2021, "Dan's Diner" was revamped.^[13] A month later in February, Flamingo uploaded his last video in the Smiles Family series, titled "The end of the Roblox Smiles Family...".^[14] This video featured the last appearance of Dan, who was killed. On August 10th, 2025, a third revamp of "Dan's Diner" was announced and released.^[15] Three months later on November 9th, 2025, a copy of the original Dan's Diner, featured in Flamingo's "The Roblox SMILES FAMILY DINER...", was uploaded onto the DanStickman account.

Appearance

DanStickman's current appearance consists of a tan skin tone, with a "Brown Leather Jacket", "Jeans", the "Andrew's Beard", and the "Leather Baseball Cap".

Personality and Traits

DanStickman has been seen to be a nice and caring person since he has been taking care of the children of RobertSmiles after his death. He is also very polite towards certain guests who visited his diner in the myth's storyline.

However, Dan can be protective and slightly aggressive over the people that discover his secrets under the diner. For instances, he got upset as he saw the three kids knew about the entrance to the underground place, though he was also aware of the reason behind their actions and put away the aggression.

Game

Dan's Diner

Dan's Diner was created by DanStickman on January 25th, 2019. It is a diner outside of a town called Berwyn, Florida. This is the second game in the story of the Smiles Family. After the Smiles' house burnt down, and RobertSmiles "passed away," DanStickman took them to his diner in Florida, and they stay there for many years. The game has had four major versions, those being the original, 2021 remake, and the 2025 remake. All three versions are similar in terms of gameplay, although they vary wildly in detail.

Once the player spawns, they should take a right and go to the bar. In older versions of the game, there was a note on the bar that said "AVIL GSIVV GDL MRMV AVIL VRTSG." This translates "ZERO THREE TWO NINE ZERO EIGHT" using an atbash cipher. The location of this note was later changed to the corner of the diner, close to the storage room. In the original and 2025 version, to the right of the counter, a door with a lock on it can be found. The player can open this door by inputting the code "03-29-08". In the 2021 version, this same door is located inside of the kitchen, and is open. The code is instead used on the trap door.

Once it is unlocked, the player can enter and they will find a big stone door and markings on the walls. There is binary code on the wall. It translates to "Creator and destroyer" and is used to open the door in the cave. The next room has another door, and markings on the wall. The code for the door is "Confronting problems is often the best solution." The next room has two doors and more markings on the wall. The code for the door on the left is "Creator of life" and it is currently unknown if the door on the right can be opened. Once the player enters the final room, there will be a lantern to the left that the player can use. In the back of the cave, there is a large mural that shows 3 children being, Seth, Matthew, And Claire fighting DIAM0NDEYES.

Group

The Smiles Family

The Smiles Family is the official group of The Smiles Family myth. In this group, Dan is ranked under the "Dan Stickman" rank. Previously, he was listed under the "Friends" rank.^[16]

Relationships

DIAM0NDEYES

By the way Dan acts, it is thought he has a relationship with DIAM0NDEYES. As seen in Laughability's video, DIAM0NDEYES calls Dan "Brother" and when Laugh questions it DIAM0NDEYES responds with "You haven't told them yet?" which could suggest Dan is related with DIAM0NDEYES.

Theories

• DanStickman is secretly a villain.
  • In the Flamingo's video "Sleeping over Roblox's SMILES FAMILY house...", immediately after Flamingo tells Roy_Joe that he can take the kids, DanStickman suddenly appears.^[4] It is possible that Dan was used by Roy and DIAM0NDEYES to lure the children in.
  • It has been implied in the past that DanStickman is related to DIAM0NDEYES, with DIAM0NDEYES having called him "brother" in the past. ^[17]

Trivia

• Dan's last appearance was in the last cutscene of Albert's video and Returning To Reality, where his ghost stands with other ghosts as well as Seth, Clair and the players, who survived the tragic.
• Dan was previously in Robloxian Myth Hunters, Myth Containment Agency, Paradox of Myths and Mythsman: Myth Investigation Service.^[18]
• The code for the first door is the join date of first account Albert made, Streety, which is March 29th, 2008.^[19]
