The story of Andessa's quest begins in the Cathedral of Andessa.— EndlessPillars
EndlessPillars is a Roblox myth known for their game "The Cathedral of Andessa".

Biography

EndlessPillars, a man also known as Andrates, was a member of an organization known as the Order. The Order was a group of people who directly served under the Almighty One, a deity-like being. Andrates and his associates live in a galaxy, and the members of the Order are distinguished from other mortal creatures; so, Andrates and the Order members are either minor deities or a more powerful life form within their galaxy.

In the Hall of Congregation, the base of operations for the Order, Andrates greeted Myalar before attending a meeting. A leader of the Order, Andessa, gave Andrates the mission to capture a dictator on one of the planets - much to the chagrin of some Order members, who believed that the dictator should have been killed.

Andrates travelled to the planet of the dictator and found that he was unable to control himself; unlike his usual nature, he slaughtered the guards and the dictator upon arriving at the planet. Andrates witnessed a dark spirit arising from the dictator's body, of which he took note. Later on, Andrates said that he felt overpowered by some other force which made him more violent than he usually was.

When Andrates returned to the Order, he was put on trial for killing the dictator instead of capturing him. Killing was strongly disliked within the Order's doctrine; it was a measure that only seemed to be for drastic measures. Myalar was also put on trial on account of being too close to Andrates, as the Order thought that such a relationship would have undermined the efficacy of Andrates and Myalar. As a result, both Andrates and Myalar were ordered to be exiled from the Order.

Before Andrates left for his exile, he approached the High Priest of the Order, a man by the name of Deputor. Andrates told Deputor of how he felt like he was being uncharacteristically influenced to murder the dictator, and once he mentioned the rise of a spirit from the dictator's body, Deputor recalled an old prophecy. The prophecy said that two people, the Unfaithful One and the Unknown One, would rise up as a "darkness" against the Almighty One.

Wishing to confirm the other aspects of the prophecy, Deputor sent Andrates to talk to Nugruvius. Nugruvius was a warlord who had been imprisoned on a distant planet for thousands of years, primarily for causing strife throughout the galaxy through his conquests. After interrogating Nugruvius, Andrates discovered that Nugruvius saw a spirit exxiting a body too - and this sign was one that the prophecy predicted. With the prophecy appearing to come true, Andrates contacted Andessa and spoke with him in private. Andrates noticed that one of the Order members, Gotu, was not attending meetings at the Hall of Congregation very often; as a result, Andrates supposed that Gotu had become the Unfaithful One. Andrates urged Andessa to gather some other Order members in order to find and defeat the Unfaithful One. Afterwards, Andrates joined Myalar in exile, enduring the punishment that they received from the Order. The duo lived together on the planet of Monrukiol, staying in contact with Andessa's group.

Andessa gained nine followers during his quest, travelling throughout the galaxy to recruit members of the Order. Two of these followers are somewhat notable. Rogtugia was an Order member who was recently assassinated by the Unfaithful One (or so it was thought), and he had to be revived using an orb. Dinsach was also killed by the Unfaithful One, but he was not revived since the orb was only usable once every thousand years (and Rogtugia was considered a more formidable warrior in combat). Dinsach's death came before Andessa was able to contact him, but Dinsach is still recognized as one of Andessa's followers.

Andessa and his followers tracked the Unfaithful One down to the planet of Gotu. They engaged in battle with the Unfaithful One, and everyone except Andessa perished. After Andessa died, he had left behind his memories. These memories can be visited by going through portals in the Cathedral of Andessa, a building erected to honour Andessa and his followers for their sacrifices. The Cathedral also houses the tomb of Andessa.

History

EndlessPillars's account was created on July 14th, 2019. He released "The Cathedral of Andessa" series of games before releasing "The Hall of Congregation" series of games. Despite this, "The Hall of Congregation" is a prequel to the story presented in "The Cathedral of Andessa". In 2022, EndlessPillars would retire due to real life events.

An agent named, Dhallwial123alt, from the Roblox's Myths Intelligence Agency had created an investigation document detailing their exploration of EndlessPillars' profile and game. This was made on January 23rd, 2021.

Myalar

In "The Courtroom", a game that comes from a teleport in "The Hall of Congregation", it is revealed that Andrates is exiled from the Order for being "too close" with Myalar, another member of the Order. In "The Exile", Andrates and Myalar live the rest of their lives in exile together. They are shown communicating with Andessa and his followers by parcel.

Theories

  • A complete translation of EndlessPillars's runic alphabet is necessary for progression in the game.
    • "The Hall of Congregation" and its related games use a runic alphabet in maps and in wall inscriptions.
    • There are partial "canon translations" of these runes that EndlessPillars hid in "The Hall of Congregation" and "The Mount of High Priest Deputor", two games that EndlessPillars created (these translations are in the Gallery section).
    • By using the map of planets in "The Hall of Congregation" (the map is on a wall in a small building to the left of the big building), we can create a possible translation of the runes into English (see the Gallery section).
    • For example, the canon translations tell us that one of the planets (connected to the "purple" system of planets") is named "T_EBU", where the underscore represents a rune we don't seem to have a canonical translation for. Remembering that many of EndlessPillars's characters name planets after themselves (namely, Thebu names his planet "Thebu" and Theyon lives on the planet "Maximus-Theyon"), we can conclude that the planet's name is "Thebu" and the rune is "h". A similar process was done to find the rest of the runes in the possible translation.
    • When standing in front of a large horizontal door in "The Mount of High Priest Deputor", a person will notice that the door has an inscription in runes. The runes translate to "Gotu". Saying "Gotu" in front of the door will unlock the door to reveal what appears to be a book of prophecy (as discussed by Andrates and Deputor in "The Mount of High Priest Deputor") alongside a teleporter which puts the player in Deputor's Archive. This archive contains information on some members of the Order.
    • Inside the Gallery section, images of the book of prophecy and Deputor's Archive can be found. It appears that the book of prophecy needs to be translated using the runic alphabet.

Trivia

  • When you go through the portals, almost everything is grey because Andessa forgot the colors around him.
  • The follower's names in order are: Theyon, Catal, Dinsach, Thebu, Yttrbit, Rogtugia, Panaestar, Athornium and Delthweyr
    • All of them apart from Andessa died in the battle to defeat the Unfaithful One.
    • In most games, there is a white and blue portal. These blue portals have codes to decipher. After the awakening game, there is no more blue portals.
