They didn't even have proof I was a stolen being.. just a hunch and a mile.— JohnCult
JohnCult is a recognized myth well known for their brief reappearance in 2019 and their game "Somewhere in Kansas". They claimed to be one of the original members of the Cult Family, which is untrue although there was another John featured in DonCult's decals in 2012. Within their lore, they were supposedly the brother of SmithCult.
Biography
Rebirth Story
John was born most likely in Boonesville, Virginia. During his early life he would meet DonCult a family member of SmithCult. The two would become friends and during their childhood. Sometime after they became adults Don would be drafted to war, after Don came back from the war John most likely feared Don due to his relationship with the apparent growing Cult led by Don's brother Smith. After having a panic attack he would flee to Kansas where he would start to see visions of AkaManah, due to this he grew an obsession with stories of the cult that Smith had started and would log pictures of each family member he could find photos of.
After a breaking point he would burn his own house down out of fear he was being watched, this would lead him to take a train to where the last sighting of the Cult was hoping to find help. After arriving in New Orleans by jumping out of a train he would be hospitalized, after recovering he would take up an apartment in the city. He would later after staying in the complex for a few months become a victim of a robbery resulting in his untimely death.
History
John is one of the first Cult Family accounts created during July of 2012 which was a few days after SmithCult had joined, his bio originally read that he was the brother of SmithCult. Most likely John's account was made to capitalize on the current Cults trend that popped up on the wiki during this time, he was most likely created as an account for DonCult's forum posts. (or was created before although this does not matter)
He would be a semi-active user during this time, logging in every now and then most likely treated as an alternative account of someone rather than an official Cult Family member as evident by his apparent exploiting referenced on the forums. After the reformations of 2018, John would go active but not for a long period of time.
In 2019, John would receive a total revamp of his profile. His bio would be replaced with a self-described quote and he would be seen active in many parts of the community. Eventually, John would be friended by EmmettCult this would somewhat confirm him as a member of the family but this would not last as his active period only lasted a month. Targeted by scam traders, John would be terminated after trolling a scammer in Discord DMs. He would later create a spirit account but would never do anything past the new game he uploaded. He would later be added to AkaManah's story as a reference to the creators lost account, and confirmed somewhat in Cult Family Rebirth.
In 2022, he would be ranked as Distinguished Family on his spirit account rather than Former Family most likely due to his past relationship to the Cult Family.
Appearance
Currently he wears a Plaid Jacket, "CultWalden" (1) pants along with Messy hair.
Personality and Traits
When John was active he was known to be a little too friendly, although his obsession with the Cult Family was clear by his constant mention of old members that were never confirmed in the family.
Game(s)
Somewhere in Kansas
This game appears to be in Kansas, a few doors open to lead to different rooms of the house. There is a cross in a wrecked room that opens various secrets and a cellar door, upon searching in the room that appears to be a living room there is a button that opens a hatch into a bunker area with books and a bulletin board with images of Cult family members and old screenshots. A door can be opened using a cross that leads to "The Cellar" while there you can see some photos on a board and a strange book with an inverted cross that is a re-appearance from the first game. Going back up the stairs leads you to a woods area.
Pond
This game appears to be a memorial for GrandpaCult, an obvious nod to the creator of Grandpa, rockon80s1, can be seen.
After the flames
The game is a train ride, JohnCult is sitting alone next to a window with DonCult starring at him from the outside. On John's table there is a small cup, an image of SmithCult and a ticket. On the other side of the train you can see the black figure seen in many of the old family's myth games. There is also a radio on a table you spawn next to. On the train there is an open door which you can walk through. When you walk through it you teleport to an empty broken down train car. The image of SmithCult has now a knife sticking through it. At the end of the car there is a glowing door. When you walk through it, the screen turns to white and you get kicked with the text "To be continued..."
