DavidCult

Please excuse my strange tendencies.— DavidCult

DavidCult is one of the most iconic members of the Cult Family as well as being one of the first known members. Originally he was the son of SmithCult, however, in the current canon this does not seem to be the case.

He is also the current leader and father of the Cult Family Rebirth and Cult Family after MartinCult refused to pass the torch.

History

DavidCult's account was created on the first of July in 2012, two days after the first decals and forum posts made by SmithCult came into existence. He would occasionally post on the forums, however, Smith and David never appeared to come into any form of documented contact however, looking at early screenshots it is clear the two were added with each other and in an old video by RMH Sky, SmithCult acknowledges David, calling him his "killing partner". He would be associated with MartinCult during this time, he would create his game later on that month and it would be heavily advertised by notable members of the myth community including even TwistedThorey, another known classic myth around the 14th of July. He would later on go on a forum post spree with GrandpaCult that would lead to the notion the entire Cult Family had been killed by MartinCult.

David would be active throughout 2013-2015, making brief appearances in games and allowing myth hunters to interview him. One notable thing that occurred around 2013 was the introduction of one his most iconic games "Tool Shed". After the termination of SmithCult in 2014, it is assumed that he took on the role of leading the Cult Family until it was hijacked by MartinCult. During this time he sported a very basic outfit with a green checkered bowtie. The era of 2016-2017 saw a decline in David's activity, it is known that he would allow multiple new members into the family during this time but he himself would be inactive.

After the reformations placed by MartinCult in 2018, DavidCult would upload his game to become "My Rental Garage" in which he would reference Father Sun from G0Z's myth "Circus in the Sky!". This would be later privated and then reuploaded to the archives group later on in 2020. During the 2018 era, he would star in a Flamingo video based on the idea that he was unaware of what was happening with the Cult Family and was returning back to see what had happened. During 2019 David would again see changes in his story. During this year his game would go private leading to speculation of the direction of the family as a whole. When he returned to the public eye he was now a priest for the family, taking over the role of Emmett after his disappearance and appeared to be a part of a completely different story. He would start the trend of speaking to mirrors after the first appearance of his in the Flamingo video created in late 2019/early 2020.

After Martin's exposure as Kazdam, David took over the Cult Family again creating the group "Cult Family Rebirth". Since then the family has been through minimal changes, including David.

David has since stated that they have moved on from The Cult Family but is open to returning for a video with Flamingo due to his recent re-engagement with the community.

Appearance

DavidCult adorns a knight themed outfit paired with a Roman gladiator helmet, he also wears a belt which has been a part of his avatar since the account's creation. He is known to change his outfit slightly during holidays, for example wearing a wreath around Christmas.

Personality and Traits

DavidCult is known to be formal, yet more talkative than some other members of his family. It appears he is viewed as less important by other members of the Cult Family, sometimes his relatives simply ignoring his presence when he is around.

Relationships

SmithCult

The biological father of David formerly, although this could be the case it has not been outright confirmed that Smith adopted David and it has been stated that he is not related to Smith by blood.

LenzCult

Although originally he was considered David's brother in previous lore, he seems to be more like a good friend or past friend in the current story.

Theories

• It is possible that MartinCult murdered GrandpaCult while David was watching, and GrandpaCult begged David to flee, this possibly being the reason he left his family's home. This is inferred from a short series of GrandpaCult's forum posts.
• David could be hallucinating and developing schizophrenia as he is seen talking to SmithCult in the mirror.

Trivia

• He supposedly left the family's home for a long duration of time, rejoining the home after the construction of The Family Manor.
• David is thought to be the son of SmithCult and MarthaCult and brother of LenzCult and BrandonCult.
• David had confirmed that he killed MartinCult. Confirmed in Tool Shed owned by DavidCult.
