<default>Myth Blades</default>
Myth Blades is a sword-fighting competition series that was created by Apex_Developer with the help of various other individuals. The concept of the series involves Roblox myths competing against each other in a sword-fighting tournament for a cash prize of Robux. It was first broadcasted on Apex_Developer's YouTube channel and was held in ⚔️The Stadium⚔️.
History
Myth Blades Season 1 was first advertised in multiple myth community Discord servers in early September 2021, along with the creation of ⚔️The Stadium⚔️ on September 5 and the trailer on September 14. Requests to be a competitor were open from September 7 to September 16.
The first season of Myth Blades contained a handful, 16 in total, of fairly well known myths, such as KeyOfLies and AmeliaAgard. The first episode of Season 1 was recorded on October 3rd, 2021. The episode was published on YouTube not long after - a week after, on October 10th, 2021. The second episode of Season 1 was recorded on October 23rd. The episode was aired on November 5th. The third episode of Season 1 was recorded on both November 14th and November 20th. The episode was published on December 4th.
The first season of Myth Blades unfortunately came an early end due to the owner, Apex_Developer, retiring from the myth community on April 4th 2022. However, later on in the year on November 8th, 2022, it was announced that the ownership of Myth Blades had been transferred to votaly and the ongoing season was unfortunately officially shutdown without ever finishing. On the same day as the announcement of votaly's ownership, it was announced that Myth Blades would be getting a reboot and a new season with 12 new myths, the first tournament was announced to begin in December of 2022.
Unfortunately, despite the incredible popularity of the reboot of Myth Blades, attracting audiences that included people such as Exedious, the owner of Bureau of Myths, after the first episode was filmed between HeWhoShallNotBeBaned and MigBunn, Myth Blades once again began to sink in activity, due to battles never being able to take place due to problems with competitors time zones, as well as inactivity from votaly. On January 16th, 2023, votaly announced he would be stepping down as owner of Myth Blades and handing it back to Apex_Developer, who had since decided to return to the myth community. Unfortunately not a single episode of the reboot of Myth Blades was released.
On the 6th March 2023, Apex announced he was working on another reboot of Myth Blades, with yet another new season and new myths. Many months later on 24th August 2023, after many months wait, Apex finally announced a proper, second reboot of Myth Blades, titled "Myth Blades Melee", the season being themed after Wii Sports, with 16 new myths. The majority of these myths were very highly prominent individuals in the myth community, such as Fiddlepat, recent unretired myth DenzelRogers, and even Amazook, just to name some. However, to this day no further news has been heard about the new season, leading to the presumption that this season will once again likely not go ahead.

Trivia
- Apex_Developer was helped with the creation of Myth Blades with the help of bigboom811, elliott1is1very1cool, MoralArsonism, thwoorm, votaly, strattuss and Lord_Drakostar.
- The only battle that ever took place in Votaly's reboot of Myth Blades was between HeWhoShallNotBeBaned and MigBunn, in which HeWhoShallNotBeBaned won 4/3.
- Addec is the only myth who has stepped down as competitor in Myth Blades, due to the fact that he didn't think he would be available to take part, he was replaced by MigBunn but can still be seen in a Myth Blades Poster.
- KeyOfLies, AylethCult and JamesMandel are so far the only myths that have taken part in more than one season of Myth Blades, all three of which have taken part in two.
- Despite the fact that Myth Blades has had quite a history of flopping and never finishing, it has inspired a number of other Myth Community sword fighting competitions.
